Abu Dhabi: In a spectacular show of power-hitting and disciplined bowling, the UAE Bulls claimed their maiden Abu Dhabi T10 championship on Sunday night, defeating the Aspin Stallions by a commanding 80 runs at the Zayed Cricket Stadium. The night belonged to Tim David, whose blistering unbeaten 98 off just 30 balls sealed one of the most dominant victories in the tournament’s history.

David’s extraordinary innings, packed with 12 sixes and three fours, powered the Bulls to a formidable total. His explosive knock culminated in a 32-run final over against Ashmead Nedd, taking his season tally to an impressive 393 runs. The Australian batter’s strike rate of 326.66 in the final epitomized the intensity of the Bulls’ batting charge.

Openers Phil Salt (18 off 8) and James Vince began the innings, though Vince was forced to retire hurt early without scoring. Salt provided an aggressive start before falling to Hafeez-ur-Rehman. What followed was a game-shifting partnership between David and Rovman Powell (24 off 20), who played a crucial supporting role as the pair added 128 runs, setting a massive target the Stallions struggled to chase.

In reply, the Aspin Stallions faltered from the outset. Andre Fletcher retired hurt for 2, while Sherfane Rutherford departed cheaply, bowled by Fazalhaq Farooqi (1/2). Captain Rahmanullah Gurbaz contributed 18 from 15 balls but found little support as the Bulls’ bowlers tightened their grip.
Junaid Siddique (1/18), Iftikhar Ahmed (1/7) and Qais Ahmad (1/14) each picked up a wicket, restricting the Stallions to just 70 for 4 in their innings.

The emphatic win not only delivered the UAE Bulls their first Abu Dhabi T10 title but also cemented Tim David’s status as the standout performer of the tournament. David walked away with both the Batter of the Tournament and Player of the Tournament awards. Andrew Tye of the Vista Riders was named Bowler of the Tournament, while Junaid Siddique earned recognition as the UAE Player of the Tournament for his consistent contributions.
