The UAE Journalists Association celebrates the 54th National Day

Dubai: The UAE Journalists Association celebrated the 54th National Day, in the presence of members of the Board of Directors and a group of journalists and media professionals, at the association’s headquarters in the Al Muhaisnah 2 area of ​​Dubai.

The ceremony began with a speech by Fadila Al-Muaini, President of the UAE Journalists Association, in which she welcomed the attendees and extended her warmest congratulations and blessings to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, and their brothers, Their Highnesses the members of the Supreme Council, Rulers of the Emirates, and to the people of the UAE and residents on its land, asking God Almighty to perpetuate the blessings of security, prosperity and high standing for the nation.

She emphasized that Union Day represents a prominent national milestone that embodies the progress and qualitative achievements made by the UAE within the comprehensive development journey, praising the vital role of national media in documenting this journey and consolidating the Emirati identity.

Fadila Al-Muaini added that this precious anniversary evokes the values ​​of loyalty to the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and his brothers, the founding fathers, may God have mercy on them, who laid the foundations for the establishment of a firm state, which continued its journey steadily until it achieved, on the fifty-fourth anniversary of the Union, a prestigious position on the regional and international levels.

The celebration program included a dialogue session entitled “The Union Talk,” during which participants recalled the milestones of the country’s development over 54 years, and the comprehensive renaissance and development it has achieved in various fields, most notably the media sector, which has witnessed a qualitative development that has placed the UAE at the forefront of advanced countries globally in media performance and innovation indicators.

They reviewed the journey of Emirati media, which in a short period of time was able to establish its position as a leading sector in employing modern technologies, especially artificial intelligence and digital publishing and broadcasting platforms.

At the end of the session, Fadila Al-Muaini stressed the association’s commitment to continuing to support journalistic staff and to improving media work in line with the vision of the wise leadership, and to contribute to strengthening the presence of the UAE in the media arena regionally and internationally.

At the end of the ceremony, the journalists raised the UAE flag in front of the association's headquarters as an expression of pride and honor on this precious national occasion, and took commemorative photos.
