Students explore volunteering opportunities with Dubai Police’s ‘On-the-Go’ initiative

Dubai: Dubai Police has brought together a group of university and college students for a coordination meeting aimed at strengthening its partnership with educational institutions and encouraging young people to join community programmes. The meeting was organised with the Dubai Police University and College Students Council to give students a closer look at the On-the-Go initiative and the different areas it covers.

During the session, Captain Khalid Barakat and First Lieutenant Khadija Al Baloushi explained the initiative’s goals, its main pillars, and the services it provides through its approved channels for students and the public.

They also highlighted the important role of the volunteer team, which helps the initiative achieve its goals and increase its positive impact in the community.The initiative’s representatives thanked the students for their strong engagement and clear interest in joining the available volunteering opportunities. They noted that youth participation adds real value to community initiatives and supports efforts to serve society.

The meeting concluded with a call to continue working closely with universities and colleges and to encourage students to take part in future volunteering activities. This cooperation helps expand the reach of the On-the-Go initiative and strengthens its community impact.
