Dubai Police Commander-in-Chief Attends the Inaugural Forum of the ‘On the Go’ Initiative

Dubai: His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, attended the inaugural forum of the "On-the-Go" initiative at the Dubai Police Officers Club. The event was also attended by His Excellency Major General Dr. Ahmed Zaal bin Kreishan Al Muhairi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Financial and Administrative Affairs; His Excellency Major General Harib Mohammed Al Shamsi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Affairs; assistant commandants; directors of general departments and police stations; Hisham Amiri, Executive Director of the Zero Bureaucracy Programme; representatives of fuel supply companies; and a number of senior officers and officials.

During the forum, Al Marri was briefed on the initiative's key achievements, which stands as a model partnership between Dubai Police and fuel supply companies across the emirate and is designed to deliver smart, proactive police services to customers anytime and anywhere. This approach aligns with the Dubai Government's drive to eliminate bureaucracy, enhance quality of life, and support the objectives of the Government Services 360 policy.

In his opening remarks, Captain Majid bin Saed Al Kaabi, Head of the "On-the-Go" initiative team, affirmed that the initiative embodies Dubai Police's vision for advancing the policing and service system by delivering innovative services that contribute to community happiness and reinforce the sense of safety and security. He pointed out that the initiative has succeeded in reducing the number of visitors to police stations, streamlining procedures, and improving the efficiency of services provided to the public.

Furthermore, he noted that the initiative has benefited 7,762 beneficiaries across 8 services delivered in partnership with Dubai's fuel supply companies — Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), and the Emirates General Petroleum Corporation (Emarat). These services cover: minor traffic accident reports, reports against unknown party, lost and found, services for people of determination, labour complaints, vehicle repair, the Police Eye service, and the E-Crime service.

Al Kaabi explained that 3,981 minor traffic accident reports were filed by the public across 158 petrol stations located throughout the emirate, along with 1,375 reports against unknown party. "A total of 296 reports were submitted via the Police Eye service, in addition to 2,013 lost-and-found reports, and 97 cybercrime reports submitted through the E-Crime platform," he added.

Furthermore, Al Kaabi pointed out that 23,816 individuals from various entities received training to enable them to assist customers.

The forum featured specialised discussion workshops covering a range of topics related to police services and community awareness, including traffic laws and their role in road safety, the initiative's contribution to eliminating bureaucracy, community volunteering within the "On-the-Go" initiative, and introducing Dubai Police services.

The "On-the-Go" initiative is one of Dubai Police's pioneering projects aimed at eliminating bureaucratic processes within the force. It responds directly to the goal of reducing visitor numbers at service centres and transitioning fully to visitor-free centres. The initiative strives to deliver service excellence and enhance customer happiness by accelerating the processing of minor traffic accident reports, maintaining smooth traffic flow, and deepening cooperative partnerships with the private sector in service delivery.

At the end of the forum, His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Al Marri honoured the initiative's partners — Hisham Amiri, Executive Director of the Zero Bureaucracy Programme; representatives of fuel supply companies; distinguished contributors; and the initiative's working team — in recognition of their efforts in supporting and ensuring the success of the initiative, and in furthering joint cooperation to fulfil Dubai Police's objectives of delivering proactive, innovative services to the community.
