Dubai: The Dubai Tourist Police Department at the General Department of Criminal Investigation (CID) organised an awareness lecture benefited 110 employees from 7 hotels across the emirate. The lecture, held at the “SO/ Uptown Dubai” Hotel, was conducted in cooperation with strategic partners, including the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai, Dubai Municipality, the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai, the General Command of Dubai Civil Defense, and the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services.

The awareness lecture was part of a series of sessions aimed at raising security and service awareness among workers in the tourism sector and enhancing the quality of services provided to tourists and visitors.

The event was attended by Major Shihab Ahmed Al Saadi, Deputy Director of the Tourist Police Department, and Major Ahmed Mohammed Ahli, Head of the Tourism Coordination Section, along with a number of officers, employees, and partners from government entities.

Maj. Shihab Ahmed Al Saadi affirmed that the lecture comes within the framework of enhancing integration between entities in the tourism and security sectors to promote awareness within a safe and sustainable tourism environment that reflects the civilised image of Dubai.

The session saw participation from several government entities across the emirate of Dubai, in addition to specialised departments within Dubai Police, including the Lost and Found Department, the Explosives Department, the Crime Scene Department, the 901 Call Centre, Smart Police Stations (SPS), the Positive Spirit Council, and the General Department of Anti-Narcotics.

The lecture covered channels of communication with the police in emergencies and non-emergency situations, hotel registration procedures, common types of reports, and an introduction to police services. The participating government entities provided awareness to employees in their respective fields, including public security and safety procedures and first aid.

During the lecture, the Tourist Police also distributed the "Flame Tree" to the participating hotels, in line with the government's directives aimed at promoting environmental sustainability and spreading a culture of environmental conservation.

At the conclusion of the event, the Tourist Police honoured the management of the “SO/ Uptown Dubai” hotel for their cooperation in organising the awareness lecture.
