Dubai: The taekwondo team of Dubai Police's Hemaya Schools for Boys achieved a remarkable sports accomplishment in the Dubai Schools Games Taekwondo Championship, winning 14 medals – including 4 gold, 6 silver, and 4 bronze. The team secured first place in the championship with a total of 911 points, finishing with a significant lead over their closest competitors from other participating schools.

The taekwondo team began its preparations early for the championship under the guidance of Brigadier Badran Al Shamsi, Assistant Commandant for Academic and Training Affairs, and under the supervision and follow‑up of Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Salem Al Suwaidi, Director of the Hemaya Schools Office, and Captain Mohammed bin Shafiya.

The Hemaya Schools taekwondo team participated in the championship with 22 players across the under‑11, under‑14, and under‑17 categories. The tournament featured approximately 28 schools from across Dubai and was held at the Danube Sports Hall, with strong competition throughout.

Lt. Col. Abdullah Al Suwaidi praised the efforts of the Hemaya Schools in achieving this outstanding accomplishment. He commended the role of the schools in supporting students' talents, developing their athletic abilities, and creating a suitable environment to discover and refine their skills. He affirmed the importance of continuing efforts to enhance the journey of excellence and achieve further accomplishments on both the sports and educational levels.
