Dubai: Dubai Police, represented by the Quality of Life Centre, has won the ‘Oscar Kilo 2025’ award – presented by the National Police Wellbeing Service in the United Kingdom, in cooperation with the UK College of Policing – in recognition of its pioneering efforts in enhancing quality of life and institutional wellbeing for employees through the centre's high‑quality initiatives.

Dubai Police received the award in recognition of its innovative vision in developing a work environment that supports psychological and social wellbeing, thereby strengthening police readiness, boosting job satisfaction, and elevating the quality of institutional performance .

The award committee noted that Dubai Police's Quality of Life Centre represents an advanced model of employee wellbeing support, commending the comprehensiveness of its initiatives and services, which have helped embed concepts of balance and quality of life within the police work environment.

Ms. Awatif Rashid Al Suwaidi, Director of the Quality of Life Centre, stated that Dubai Police is the first police organisation outside the United Kingdom to receive this award. She explained that the achievement reflects the commitment of the Dubai Police to implementing the directives of His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander‑in‑Chief of Dubai Police, to provide the best possible work environment for employees. “This enables them to perform their national duty and serve their community in a motivating workplace, delivering the highest level of security services and bringing happiness to community members,” she added.

Al Suwaidi continued: "This achievement reflects the global leadership that Dubai Police has attained in adopting the best international practices in the field of institutional quality of life, in line with the UAE's directions in promoting human wellbeing as a priority across all sectors." She also noted that Dubai Police presented its experience in enhancing quality of life, mental health, and employee wellbeing during a keynote session at the conference accompanying the awards ceremony.

It is worth noting that the Oscar Kilo Awards are among the most prominent specialised awards for supporting mental health and wellbeing within police organisations. The awards aim to recognise initiatives and programmes that enhance the quality of life for police personnel and focus on disseminating best practices in professional wellbeing and psychological and health support for workers in the police sector.
