Dubai: Dubai Police’s Tourist Police Department, part of the General Department of Criminal Investigation, organised the “Safe Tourist Summer” event at Umm Suqeim 2 Beach in cooperation with MST Junior Academy, highlighting the wide range of services available to tourists and the tourism sector while promoting safety awareness during the summer season.

The event was attended by Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Abdulrahman, Director of the Tourist Police Department, Major Shehab Al Saadi, Deputy Director of the Department, and a number of Dubai Police officers and employees. It featured contributions from the Positive Spirit Council, the General Department of Community Happiness, the Dubai Police Academy, the K9 Security Inspection Department, the Makers Studio initiative, and Ports Police Station.

Visitors enjoyed performances by the Dubai Police Band, K9 demonstrations, community activities organised by the Positive Spirit Council, a workshop delivered by Al Suna’aa (Makers) Studio, and displays featuring tourist security patrols, water bikes from Ports Police Station, Dubai Police cyclists, and a variety of sports activities presented by MST Junior Academy.
Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Abdulrahman said the initiative reflects Dubai Police’s commitment, under the directives of Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri and the follow up of Major General Hareb Mohammad Al Shamsi, to enhance tourism safety, raise public awareness, and introduce visitors to key services, including emergency and non-emergency communication channels, cybercrime reporting services, and tourist support features available through the Dubai Police smart application.

He added that the “Safe Tourist Summer” initiative supports Dubai’s tourism sector and Dubai Police’s vision of creating a safe and secure tourism environment, noting that similar events will continue throughout the summer at various locations across the emirate.
