Dubai: His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, oversaw the personal interview procedures for student cadets seeking to join Dubai Police Academy (DPA) for the 38th batch of male officer cadets and the 11th batch of female cadets, held at the Officers Club.

He was accompanied by His Excellency Major General Eid Hareb Mohammed Thani Hareb, Assistant Commandant for Criminal Investigation Affairs and Chairman of the Personal Interview Committee; Brigadier Dr. Sultan Al Jamal, Director of Dubai Police Academy; Brigadier First Expert Rashid Lootah, Director of the General Department of Forensic Science and Criminology; Brigadier Musabah Al Ghafli, Director of the General Department of Protective Security and Emergency; Brigadier Sultan Al Owais, Deputy Director of the General Department of Police Stations for Deira Stations Affairs; Brigadier Dr. Ibrahim bin Sebaa Al Marri, Deputy Director of the General Department of Excellence and Pioneering; Colonel Hamad bin Daafous Al Mansouri, Director of the Selection and Recruitment Department of the General Department of Human Resources at Dubai Police; and a number of officers.

The Personal Interview Committee received 2,406 applications from male and female cadets across two programmes: the first, a Bachelor's in Law and Police Sciences, and the second, a Bachelor's in Security and Forensic Sciences.

His Excellency Lieutenant General Al Marri was briefed in detail on the interview mechanism for cadets, the selection criteria, and the tests applicants undergo, all of which have been designed and defined to align with the world-class standing of Dubai Police Academy as a leading police institution in security work. These are built on well-studied foundations that ultimately contribute to graduating highly competent batches, serving the future goals, objectives, and aspirations of Dubai Police.

Al Marri affirmed the unwavering commitment of Dubai Police to selecting the finest cadres from among those applying to join Dubai Police Academy, with the aim of graduating security and professional competencies that reflect the honourable image of police officers and contribute to shaping the future officers of police work, dedicated to serving the nation, its security, and its safety, armed with the essential legal, police, and security sciences provided by the Academy.

Highest Educational and Academic Standard
Meanwhile, Major General Eid Hareb bin Thani confirmed that the Committee has commenced interviewing both male and female cadets who meet the required conditions for joining the cadets' course at Dubai Police Academy, which has today become a destination of choice for young male and female citizens seeking the highest level of specialised and advanced educational, academic, and military training within the Academy's two Bachelor's programmes for student cadets. He wished all applicants success in passing the tests and requirements.

It is worth noting that the Bachelor's programme in Law and Police Sciences is an accredited academic programme specialising in law and police sciences. It is the core programme upon which the Academy was founded since its establishment, with its graduates forming the primary source of police and legal cadres for both the Dubai Police and the various judicial and legal entities across the United Arab Emirates.

The Bachelor's programme in Security and Forensic Sciences is an accredited academic programme specialising in security sciences. The course of study is divided into two phases: the general phase, spanning the first three years of enrolment, followed by the specialised phase, which runs for one academic year during which students undertake four specialised courses.
