Naperville, Illinois: The Global Eye International Institute of Leadership (TGEIIL) successfully concluded the second cohort of its five-day intensive Applied Artificial Intelligence and Agentic Systems Summer Program, held from July 27 to July 31, 2026, at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois. The program attracted 30 high school students, including participants from outside Illinois, with students from New Jersey also enrolling, highlighting the growing national appeal of the institute's AI education initiatives.

Founded on January 30, 2023, in New York by visionary leader Chief Dr. Vijay G. Prabhakar, TGEIIL is an innovative leadership institution established to prepare future leaders through cutting-edge education and experiential learning. The institute emerged as one of the significant outcomes of the GSA India@75 Expo USA, the first-of-its-kind global event organized by the Indian diaspora in Chicagoland in 2022.

The intensive summer program combined expert-led lectures, interactive discussions, and hands-on project development using low-code and no-code AI platforms. Throughout the week, students designed and developed AI-powered applications and intelligent agents to address real-world challenges while learning from leading professors, scientists, and industry experts.

The graduation ceremony featured distinguished guests including Greg Hart, President of the Village of Hinsdale; Pat Merryweather-Arges, Board Chair of St. Bernard Hospital; Chenna Govindasamy, Chief Architect at IBM Consulting Services; NavaJeevan Rajaiah, CEO of InsOps Inc.; and renowned technologist Dr. Sam Pitroda, who addressed participants via teleconference.

The program commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Vasavi Chakka, Provost of TGEIIL, followed by opening remarks from Kathy Thorat, Vice Chair of the TGEIIL Board of Trustees. Prof. Ranga Chandrasekaran, Course Director, outlined the program's focus on experiential learning, expert interaction, and rapid development of practical AI solutions.

One of the highlights of the graduation ceremony was the student project showcase, where participants demonstrated innovative AI applications and intelligent agents they had developed during the week-long program.

Delivering the keynote address, Dr. Vijay G. Prabhakar, Founder and Executive Chairman of TGEIIL, reflected on the institute's vision and encouraged students to actively participate in leadership, civic engagement, and extracurricular activities. He emphasized that leadership in the 21st century requires adaptability, continuous learning, ethical responsibility, and the wisdom to apply technology for the greater good.

"Artificial Intelligence should never replace human values. Instead, it should amplify human potential," Dr. Prabhakar said, stressing that ethical leadership must remain at the core of technological advancement.

Addressing students virtually, Dr. Sam Pitroda, Chairman of Global Knowledge Initiative NFP, highlighted AI's transformative role in shaping the future global economy and encouraged students to embrace the technology while developing expertise that would benefit their future careers.

Guest speakers also shared valuable insights from their respective fields. Greg Hart spoke about civic leadership and the role AI can play in improving public services. Pat Merryweather-Arges highlighted AI's growing potential in enhancing healthcare delivery, particularly for senior citizens and geriatric care. IBM's Chenna Govindasamy encouraged students to continue refining their AI projects and deepen their expertise, while InsOps CEO NavaJeevan Rajaiah discussed AI's expanding role across industries and announced internship opportunities for participating students.

The ceremony concluded with closing remarks by Seetha Bala, Special Projects Director at TGEIIL, who acknowledged the continued contributions of Naveenchandra Karna, CIO of Global Eye Magazine and AMEC Executive Director, for his instrumental support in implementing the institute's AI program since its inception in 2024.

Students described the program as a transformative experience, noting that they were able to build real AI applications within just five days. Many said the practical, hands-on learning approach significantly boosted their confidence and inspired them to pursue further studies in Artificial Intelligence.

Parents also praised the program, describing it as a valuable investment in their children's future. They commended the quality of instruction, personalized mentoring, and the opportunity for students to learn directly from accomplished faculty and industry experts while developing practical AI skills in a short period.

With the successful completion of its second AI summer program, TGEIIL continues to strengthen its mission of preparing the next generation of ethical, innovative, and globally competent leaders equipped to thrive in the rapidly evolving era of Artificial Intelligence.
