Dubai: As part of Dubai Police’s continuous efforts to strengthen direct engagement with community members and promote security, traffic, and criminal awareness, the Positive Spirit Council organised the Umm Suqeim Community Forum in the Jumeirah area at Kite Beach, attracting over 500 community members.

The forum was carried out in collaboration with the General Department of Criminal Investigation, represented by the Crime Prevention Department and the Tourist Police Department; the General Department of Police Stations, represented by Ports Police Station and the Victim Support Centre, represented by the Criminal Community Support Section; the General Department of Traffic; the General Department of Operations, and strategic partners. The event was attended by Brigadier Dr. Hassan Suhail, Director of Ports Police Station, and Ms. Fatima Buhajeer, Chairperson of the Positive Spirit Council.

The community event featured the "Your Voice is Heard" initiative, offering the public a direct platform to share their feedback and suggestions and have their views heard, thereby contributing to the development of security services and the enhancement of quality of life. Attendees also learned about the services and programmes provided by Dubai Police to serve the community.

The forum also offered security, traffic, and criminal awareness lectures covering a range of topics related to crime prevention, road safety, and safe practices, all aimed at raising awareness across different segments of the community.

Attendees also enjoyed entertainment competitions for families and thrilling sports tournaments, featuring a tug-of-war championship with 10 participating teams and a beach volleyball championship with 6 teams.

Brigadier Dr. Hassan Suhail affirmed that such forums embody Dubai Police's vision of building bridges of trust and communication with community members. He noted that connecting with the public in vibrant, touristic locations amplifies the impact of awareness messages and brings security services closer to both residents and visitors.

He commended the inclusion of the "Your Voice is Heard" initiative in the forum, describing it as a vital channel for listening to community feedback and suggestions, contributing to performance development and the enhancement of security services in line with best practices.

Meanwhile, Ms. Fatima Buhajeer affirmed that the Council is dedicated to organising community forums across all areas of the emirate of Dubai to reach the broadest possible segment of society and reinforce the values of cohesion and positive coexistence.

She explained that blending security awareness with sports and recreational activities creates an inviting environment that encourages community members to engage and participate, thereby enhancing quality of life and reflecting Dubai Police's vision of building a more aware, safer, and happier society. She also extended her appreciation to all strategic partners whose efforts contributed to the success of the forum and the realisation of its community objectives.
