Dubai Police Crowns \'Proud of the UAE\' Race Winners

Dubai: Dubai Police has honoured the winners of the second edition of the "Proud of the UAE" cycling race, coinciding with the Force's celebration of its 70th anniversary. The 80-kilometre race took place yesterday, Sunday, flagging off from the Nad Al Sheba Police Station as part of this season's cycling programme, organised in cooperation with the UAE Cycling Federation, the Dubai Sports Council, and the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai.

The closing ceremony, which crowned the winners, was attended by His Excellency Major General Badran Al Shamsi, Assistant Commandant for Academy and Training Affairs; Brigadier Musabbah Al Ghafli, Assistant Commandant for Operations Affairs; Brigadier Obaid Mubarak Al Ketbi, Director of the General Department of Protective Security and Emergency; Brigadier Dr Jassim Mohammed Hassan, Acting Director of the General Department of Training; Mr Ali Omar from the Dubai Sports Council; Mr Omar Al Naqbi, Secretary-General of the UAE Cycling Federation; Colonel Anwar Al Namr, Director of the Force Transport Department; Mr Yahya Al Jumairi, Board Member of the UAE Cycling Federation and Head of the Referees Committee; and Ms Fatima Buhajeer, Chairperson of the Positive Spirit Council at Dubai Police.

Race Winners

In the Professional Men category, Kristian Aron Diletina took first place, followed by Abdullah Al Ali in second and Denis Savaliev in third. Switching to the Amateur Men (Federation Cardholders) category, Saeed Safar topped the podium, followed by Mansour Al Sabri in second and Saad Al Baluoshi in third.

Meanwhile, first place in the Amateur Men (Non-Federation Cardholders) category was claimed by Saeed Al Marri, with Thani Ahmed Al Muhairi and Abdullah Al Ali securing second and third respectively. In addition, the Professional Women category saw Madi Black finish first, followed by Safiya Al Sayegh in second and Alien Thampson in third.

Moving to the Emirati Amateur Women category, Aisha Foulath claimed first place, followed by Noura Al Ghafli in second and Sheikha bin Shaml in third.
In the Master Men category, Saad Al Baloushi topped the podium, with Mohammed Haitham and Abdullah Al Hatawi securing second and third respectively.

As for the Professional Men's Sprint Points category, Denis Savaliev took first place, while Mansour Al Sabri won the Amateur Men's Sprint Points category. In the Emirati Amateur Women's Sprint Points category, Noura Al Ghafli took the win, while Madi Black won the Professional Women's Sprint Points category.

Honouring Partners

During the closing ceremony, His Excellency Major General Badran Al Shamsi honoured the partners whose invaluable support contributed to the race's success, namely: the Dubai Sports Council, the General Directorate for Identity and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, the UAE Cycling Federation, and the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services.

Featuring a total prize purse of AED 140,000 distributed among the top finishers, the "Proud of the UAE" cycling race is part of a broader series of sporting and national events. These initiatives embody a deep pride in the UAE, celebrate the nation's milestones, enhance quality of life, and reinforce the concept that sport is a way of life, positively impacting the health, security, and happiness of the community.
