22nd International Education Show opens Oct 11 at Expo Sharjah

Sharjah: The 22nd edition of the International Education Show will open tomorrow, Sunday, at Expo Centre Sharjah, bringing together educational and academic institutions representing more than 20 study destinations worldwide. The exhibition will provide students and parents with an opportunity to explore diverse educational experiences, discover a wide range of university programmes and disciplines, and learn about higher education pathways that align with their future aspirations.
Organised by Expo Centre Sharjah, with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA), the exhibition is held in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Sharjah Council for Higher Education and Scientific Research. The event forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration among stakeholders in the education sector and expand opportunities for engagement between academic institutions and students.

Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, emphasised that the International Education Show continues to consolidate its position as a platform connecting students with academic institutions, enabling them to explore available educational opportunities first-hand and make well-informed decisions about their academic futures.

Al Midfa said: "The International Education Show is one of the specialised events that Expo Centre Sharjah is committed to hosting, given the valuable opportunities it provides for communication and knowledge exchange among academic institutions, students and parents. The exhibition is particularly significant in offering a direct platform for exploring academic programmes, fields of study and admission requirements, as well as discovering higher education opportunities that help students identify pathways aligned with their interests and future ambitions."

He added: "The participation of educational and academic institutions enables them to showcase their programmes and specialisations to a broad audience of students and parents. It also creates opportunities for direct engagement and for addressing their enquiries, thereby enhancing their awareness of the available options and helping them assess these opportunities in line with their individual needs and aspirations."

The exhibition's international participation will allow visitors to gain insights into different educational cultures and explore the programmes and disciplines offered by participating universities and colleges. Students will also have access to first-hand information on admission criteria, enrolment requirements, scholarships and opportunities for further study.

In addition, the exhibition will provide a dedicated platform for discussions with representatives of educational institutions, helping students evaluate their options and select academic pathways that reflect their interests, abilities and career aspirations.

The International Education Show will run until Tuesday, 13 October 2026, with a dedicated visiting schedule for families and schools. The exhibition will welcome visitors on Sunday, 11 October, from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm. On Monday, 12 October, from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, visiting hours will be reserved for girls' schools, while the same hours on Tuesday, 13 October, will be allocated to boys' schools.

The exhibition offers students an opportunity to explore potential study destinations and engage directly with participating institutions under one roof. It aims to support informed planning for university education while opening up broader horizons for learning, academic specialisation and future career development.
