1,300 Join Dubai Police at Muhaisanah 2 Community Gathering

Dubai: Dubai Police brought together 1,300 participants at the Muhaisnah 2 Community Gathering, combining cybersecurity education, road safety awareness, sporting activities and entertainment to strengthen engagement with workers and promote a safer, more connected community.

Organised by the Dubai Police Positive Spirit Council in cooperation with the General Department of Police Stations, represented by Al Qusais Police Station, and several strategic partners, the event took place at the Al Ghurair Labour Accommodation Complex in Muhaisnah.

The gathering aimed to raise awareness of security, traffic and community safety, encourage responsible behaviour and make essential police services more accessible to different segments of society.

Community Parade and Interactive Activities

The event opened with a lively parade featuring the Dubai Police Band, a luxury police patrol, the K9 Unit and members of the Positive Spirit Council.
The procession attracted enthusiastic participation, creating a welcoming atmosphere that combined community interaction with entertainment.

Participants also enjoyed competitions, sporting activities and recreational programmes designed to encourage physical activity, healthy lifestyles, teamwork and positive social interaction.

Cybersecurity and Road Safety Awareness

Following the parade, Dubai Police organised educational sessions covering security, road safety, community responsibility and preventive measures to protect people and property.

Marking Cybersecurity Awareness Month, specialised sessions addressed common online fraud techniques, the risks of sharing personal and banking information, ways to protect accounts from hacking and how to identify suspicious links and messages.

The sessions provided workers with practical guidance to help them recognise digital threats and protect themselves against online scams.

Participants were also introduced to Dubai Police’s smart and community services, including how to access them through official digital channels.

Building Trust Through Community Engagement

Fatima Ahmad Bohjair, Chairperson of the Dubai Police Positive Spirit Council, said the gathering reflects Dubai Police’s commitment to strengthening community partnerships and reaching different segments of society, particularly workers, through meaningful activities that combine safety education with personal interaction.

“At the Positive Spirit Council, we believe that security is a shared responsibility and that building a safe and sustainable society begins with spreading knowledge, raising awareness and encouraging positive behaviour,” she said.

“That is why we are committed to reaching communities where they live and work, delivering clear and accessible awareness messages that respect cultural and linguistic diversity and help everyone feel safe, reassured and included.”

Empowering Communities Against Digital Threats

Bohjair highlighted the importance of cybersecurity education amid rapid technological developments and increasingly sophisticated online fraud methods.
“We place particular emphasis on cybersecurity awareness. Through these gatherings, we aim to empower community members to protect themselves and their personal information while introducing them to Dubai Police’s smart services, making access easier and improving quality of life,” she added.

She also praised the cooperation between the General Department of Police Stations, Al Qusais Police Station and strategic partners, emphasising that coordinated efforts are essential to delivering successful community initiatives.

Bohjair concluded that such partnerships play a vital role in building a more informed, secure and connected society.
