The concert at which the Lebanese superstar enthralled her fans with a selection of her hits numbers, was broadcast live on Al Majaz Amphitheatre’s social media platforms in line with UAE’s preventive measures to limit the spread of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The performance attracted 75,000 fans on the destination’s Facebook account, 26,000 viewers on its YouTube channel and 10,000 hits on its Instagram account. Many of her fans flocked the balconies and windows of the buildings near Al Majaz Amphitheatre to listen to her and cheer her on.
Yara opened the concert with one of her most popular hits, Twasa Fia, followed by Min Al Aaydine, a cover song originally performed by Saudi singer Mohammed Abdu.

She went on to entertain her fans with several of her popular numbers accompanied by her music band led by maestro Sulaiman Fahd. They included Ya Ayech Bi Oyouni and Sokkar Zeyadah, written by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.

Yara’s portfolio of romantic songs comprised Meaazabni Al Hawa, Habibi Ya, Ah Mennak Ya Hawa, Sodfa, Bokra and Ma yehemmak. She also enthralled fans with a cover of Fairuz’s Nassam Alayna El Hawa.

She then performed a selection of Lebanese singer Samira Tawfik’s hits like Bassak Teji Haretna and Bait Al Sha’r Ya Al-Mabni, followed by folk numbers such as Al Ain Molayaitin and Lahjor Gasrak.

Yara saved her best for the conclusion, performing one of her most popular hits Akhedni Maak, followed by Ma Baaref. She ended the concert with Ya Sitti Ya Khityara, one of the super hits from the 70s originally performed by Lebanese singer Taroub.

At the beginning of the concert, Yara greeted her fans and conveyed her warm wishes to the audience on Eid Al-Fitr. She lauded Al Majaz Amphitheatre’s efforts to provide artists with a creative platform that brings them together with their fans despite the trying circumstances.

She emphasised that performing at Al Majaz Amphitheatre, which she described as one of the Arab world’s beacons of arts and culture, was an honour and a remarkable experience that added value to her career, as well as an ideal opportunity to connect with her audience.

Al Majaz Amphitheatre has emerged as the UAE’s popular cultural and entertainment destination, hosting world-class cultural events and concerts featuring internationally acclaimed artists and superstars from across the Arab world and around the world.
