Dubai Police receives Delegation from France Embassy

Dubai: The Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, H.E Lt. General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri has recently received a delegation from the France Embassy to United Arab Emirates.

The delegation, headed by Xavier Chatel, French Ambassador to the UAE, was received within the framework of enhancing cooperation and coordination between both parties, and the exchange of experiences and information that mutually benefit both bodies.

Al-Marri accompanied the French delegation to the the Command and Control Centre where they were briefed about the latest services and initiatives that enhance security and safety in the emirate, as well as the centre’s equipment and latest additions such as the 3D map that covers Dubai, and the patrols dispatching system that ensures swift and efficient response to reports and emergency calls.

The delegation also toured Dubai Police's Security Innovation Laboratory and went over its contents of modern technology and the latest smart services as well as the AI-based security innovations. In addition to the latest police patrols equipped with various types of security and surveillance technologies that are directly related to the command and control centre at the General HQ.

They were also introduced to Ghiath, a police patrol equipped with artificial intelligence systems featuring facial recognition technology, such as roof-mounted camera that provide live broadcasting to the command-and-control unit, the plate identification smart system to identify wanted vehicles and other smart systems.

The French Ambassador was also toured in the Dubai Police's non-emergency call center 901, a one-stop-shop service through which customers can submit their reports, suggestions, and inquiries. It is an integrated channel managed by one specialized department to enhance the efficiency of all previous services provided by Dubai Police such as Police Eye, Public Feedback, Interactive Chat, Email, and Leaders at Your Service. It also includes some of the latest smart technologies and artificial intelligence services and provides 33 over-the-phone services to community members and the force’s employees.

Chatel thanked Lt. General Al Marri for the warm reception, praising the great achievements that Dubai Police has accomplished in the security field by utilising the latest technologies.

Towards the end of the visit, Dubai Police Commander-in-Chief and Xavier Chatel exchanged commemorative shields.
