Dubai Police launch the \'Drones Advanced Training Program\'
Dubai: Dubai Police has officially launched the 'Drones Advanced Training Program' for its employees at the Dubai Police's Officers Club, which will continue until the sixteenth of the following month (September).
 
The training program, organized by the General Department of Operations in cooperation with the General Department for Training, was inaugurated by Eng. Major General Kamel Butti Al Suwaidi, Director of the General Department of Operations at Dubai Police. 
 
The month-long program, which comes as per the directives of His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, witnessed the presence of Brigadier Badran Al Shamsi, Director of the General Department for Training; Brigadier Nabil Abdullah, Deputy Director of the General Department of Operations; Colonel Abdullah Al-Mulla, Acting Deputy Director-General for Communications and Technology Affairs at Dubai Police, and a number of officers and employees.  
 
Eng. Major General Kamel Butti Al Suwaidi, Director of the General Department of Operations at Dubai Police, pointed out that the 'Drones Advanced Training Program' comes within the framework of achieving the strategic plan of the Dubai Police through utilizing the latest smart technologies and artificial intelligence programs of Drones in the field of promoting safety and security, rapid response to emergency reports and calls, as well as facilitating other field policing tasks. 
 
He indicated that the 'Drones Advanced Training Program' reflects the constant readiness of the Dubai Police General Command to raise the level of preparedness of its cadres to implement best practices and smart technologies during Expo 2020 Dubai. 
 
Eng. Major General Al Suwaidi welcomed all participants from different departments, wishing them every success and encouraged them to benefit from the training and apply it professionally while performing their job duty. 
 
The 'Drones Advanced Training Program', which consists of both theoretical and practical parts, will discuss international laws and regulations for the use of drones, three-dimensional geographical maps, night flying mechanisms of drones, the use of drones in search and rescue, securing events, as well as flying in indoors areas.
