Dubai: Dubai Sports Council (DSC) has honored the winning teams and players of the 3rd Open Youth Basketball Championship, which was organized by Jam Sports Academy in collaboration with DSC in several different basketball courts; these are: Jam Sports Academy, Affleck School, Al-Nasr Sports Club, Al-Ettihad Private School (Jumeirah), and Champs Sports Club.

The Youth Basketball Championship was held with participation of 500 male & female players from 33 teams.

Winners were honored in the presence of Mr. Ahmed Salim Al-Muhairi, Manager of Sports Clubs in DSC / Mr. Ahmed Al-Janahi, CEO of Al-Nasr Sports Games Co. / the Lebanese star Fadi Al-Khatib, the Championship’s Ambassador / Mr. Ahmed Sulaiman, the Championship’s Manager / Mr. Adel Saqr, Technical Supervisor of Basketball Juniors Sector in Al-Nasr Al-Club / Mr. Adnene Layouni, Football Companies Senior Specialist in DSC.

In U 16 competition, Shabab Al-Ahli Dubai won the 1st place, followed by Jam Sports Academy in the 2nd place and Al-Nasr Team in the 3rd place. Bilal Al-Sayed of Shabab Al-Ahli Dubai was awarded as best player & best ball catcher / Lennon Latzer Ramos from Al-Nasr Club gained the title of the best points’ scorer & best ball stealer / Wael Sulaiman of Jam Sports Academy was named as the best passer & best three– points’ scorer.

In U 14 competition, the Champs Sports Team won the 1st place, followed by Jam Sports Academy in the 2nd place and Al-Nasr Team in the 3rd place. Hadi Al-Khatib of the Sports Champions Club was awarded as best player, best points’ scorer & best catcher of the competition / Jayden Miranda of Jam Sports Academy won the titles of the best passer & best three–points’ scorer / Eudrik Prise of Al-Nasr Club was honored as best ball stealer / Ibrahim Al-Shumaitli from the Sports Champions Club was awarded as best coach of this competition.   

In U 12 category, Jam Sports Academy secured the 1st place, followed by NBA Basketball School in the 2nd place & then Al-Nar Club came 3rd. Ibrahim Muhsin from Jam Sports Academy won titles of the best player, best points’ scorer & best catcher too / Noah Triston of Al-Nasr Sports Club was awarded as best ball passer / Ismail Khadairi from NBA Basketball School was named as best ball stealer / Saeed Al-Hamawi of Jam Sports Academy won the best coach’s title.  

In U 10 competition, Jam Sports Academy won the 1st place, followed by Dubai Tribe Basketball Club in the 2nd place and then Champs Sports Club in the 3rd place. Dwayne Miranda of Jam Sports Academy was honored as best player, best points’ scorer, best balls catcher & best ball stealer too / Jad Al-Bissani of Jam Sports Academy was named as best ball passer / Saeed Al-Hamawi was awarded as the best coach.   

The Championship was organized with participation of 33 teams as follows: Participating teams in U 16 competition are: Prestige Star Sports Academy, NBA Basketball Academy, Jam Sports Academy, Al-Nasr Club, Jaguars, Champs Sports Club – UAE, Sharjah Sports Club and Shabab Al-Ahli / Participants in U 14 competition are: Prestige Star Sport Academy, NBA Basketball Academy, Dubai Tribe Basketball Club, Jam Sports Academy, Al-Nasr Club, Khor Fakkan Sports Cultural Club, Champs Sports Club – UAE, Basketball Academy, Sharjah Sports Academy and Shabab Al-Ahli Club / Participating teams in U 12 competition: Slam In International Basketball Academy, Prestige Star Sport Academy, NBA Basketball School, Dubai Tribe Basketball Club, Jam Sports Academy, Al-Nasr Club, Hoops Dreams Basketball Academy and Khor Fakkan Sports Cultural Club / Participants in U 10 competitions are: Slam In International Basketball Academy, Champs Sports Club – UAE, Prestige Star Sport Academy, NBA Basketball School, Dubai Tribe Basketball Club and Jam Sports Academy.
