Kochi: Aries Group, the global leader in the maritime services industry, has announced that they will henceforth earmark 10% of their future recruitments to veteran Agniveers who complete the four years of military service. “Maritime industry is a field that requires high standards of discipline and punctuality. The decision to reserve posts for Agniveers was taken after evaluating that individuals who have received military training will be well suited and beneficial to the organization,” said Dr. Sohan Roy, the Founder Chairman, and CEO of ARIES Group.

“Presently, the  age policy for initial recruitment to the organization is below the age of 25 to maintain the average of staff as 28. We have made such a decision after a thorough deliberation on the matter. A significant number of employees in the organization are from India. As the projects must be completed in a time-bound manner, our employees must be disciplined, punctual and physically fit . For the same reason, we hope that the youngsters who have completed four years of military service as per the Agnipath scheme will be well imbibed with these qualities. Ours might be the first MNC to make such an announcement guaranteeing job reservations to Agniveers which we may increase in due course after analysising the performance of first batch”, he said.
