Dubai: The Dubai Police, represented by the Hemaya Schools Office for Education and Learning in cooperation with Dubai Police Health Centre, has organised an awareness lecture for Hemaya Boys’ schools about pediatric diabetes, its symptoms, causes and prevention.

Colonel Abdullah Al Suwaidi, Director of Hemaya Schools for Education and Learning, has confirmed that the program aims to spread health awareness and encourage students, teachers, and school admins to adopt a healthy lifestyle. It also sheds light on the importance of establishing optimum health for children and adults to achieve a lifetime of happiness and wellness.

Mr Jamal Al Shaiba, Director of Hemaya Boys’ Schools, emphasised how vital it is for the students to be mindful of this chronic disease, its symptoms, diagnosis and cure and how a student can identify it by recognising the signs of having high and low blood sugar.

Moreover, It’s crucial to keep careful track of blood sugar and blood pressure readings in addition to exercising sports, taking regular walks and maintaining the proper diet to ensure a healthy, disease-free life.
