Dubai Police Celebrates Graduation of Female Officers from Foundational VIP Protection Course

Dubai: His Excellency Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations Affairs at Dubai Police, attended the “Foundational VIP Protection Course” graduation ceremony for female officers held at the Training City in Al Ruwayyah.
The ceremony was attended by Brigadier Badran Al Shamsi, Acting Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Academies and Training; Brigadier Musabbah Saeed Al Ghafli, Acting Director of the General Department of Protective Security and Emergency; Brigadier Obaid Mubarak bin Yarouf Al Ketbi, Deputy Director of the General Department of Protective Security Affairs; Colonel Hisham Nasser Al Suwaidi, Acting Deputy Director of the General Department of Emergency Affairs; and a number of officers from Dubai Police and Fujairah Police.
The 30 graduates, representing various departments and police stations from both Dubai Police and Fujairah Police, showcased an impressive tactical demonstration. The live performance highlighted their readiness and professionalism in handling diverse VIP protection scenarios.
Congratulatory Message
Major General Al Ghaithi congratulated the graduates, emphasising the commitment to developing women cadres across both academic and practical domains.. He noted the importance of specialised field training and scenario-based exercises in equipping officers with the skills necessary to perform their duties with excellence and confidence. He also commended the department’s efforts to maintain Dubai Police’s global reputation for professionalism, integrity, and community-focused service.
Empowering Women in Policing
Major General Al Ghaithi praised the pivotal role Emirati women have played in the UAE’s development and their growing contributions within the police and military sectors. He noted that the course graduates have demonstrated remarkable competence in mastering the theoretical and practical elements of VIP protection.
Professional Training
Colonel Essa Hamzah, Director of the VIP Security and Protection Department at the General Department of Protective Security and Emergency confirmed that the female officers had received rigorous, high-level field training. He expressed confidence in their ability to operate effectively in high-pressure situations, support operational police missions, and enforce the law with distinction.
Colonel Hamzah further praised the graduates’ discipline, dedication, and strong version throughout the course, stating they had proven their capability to take on challenging roles with professionalism and skill.
