Dubai: As part of its ongoing commitment to promoting road safety and reducing traffic accidents, Dubai Police, represented by the General Department of Traffic and in cooperation with the General Department of Community Happiness and Dubai Festival City, organised a comprehensive Traffic Awareness Exhibition aimed at educating the public about safe driving practices and the importance of adhering to traffic laws.

The exhibition was officially inaugurated by His Excellency Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations, in the presence of His Excellency Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Director of the General Department of Traffic, along with senior officers, heads of departments, representatives from strategic government and private sector partners, and a large number of mall visitors.

Interactive Activities and Smart Solutions

The exhibition featured various informative displays and interactive activities focusing on the leading causes of traffic accidents, such as distracted driving, reckless overtaking, and excessive speeding. Visitors explored Dubai Police’s innovative initiatives in road safety, including digital service platforms and immersive virtual reality simulations that recreated real-life traffic scenarios.

One of the key highlights of the exhibition was a dedicated children’s corner, creatively designed to combine education with entertainment. The area included hands-on workshops for drawing and colouring, miniature traffic games, and a lively interactive stage that offered age-appropriate safety messages through engaging performances. This initiative aimed to instil road safety values in children from a young age using fun and accessible tools.

A Platform for Community Engagement

Major General Al Ghaithi praised the strong community turnout and active participation in the exhibition. He emphasised that such initiatives are vital to building a strong road safety culture across Dubai, reducing accidents, and ultimately saving lives.

“Dubai Police is committed to expanding these awareness campaigns across various parts of the emirate,” he said. “Public engagement plays a crucial role in enhancing traffic culture and achieving our shared goal of making Dubai one of the safest cities in the world for road users.”

Al Ghaithi also called on all relevant entities to intensify collaborative efforts and adopt innovative strategies supporting Dubai’s world-class road safety vision.
