Dubai: The Positive Spirit Council at Dubai Police, in cooperation with the General Department of Human Rights, organized a series of security and community awareness lectures for 300 workers from Al Naboodah Group. This initiative is part of Dubai Police's ongoing efforts to enhance public awareness and foster a culture of security and safety.

Ms. Fatima Buhajeer, Chairperson of the Positive Spirit Council, emphasized that this initiative supports Dubai Police's strategic goals to promote safety and security through targeted programs, lectures, and awareness events. “These efforts aim to reach various segments of society, including workers, to inform them about their rights and legal responsibilities,” she added.

The lectures covered a variety of topics, placing a strong emphasis on traffic awareness. Participants learned about essential road safety rules and the importance of following traffic signals, all of which aimed to reduce accidents and foster a culture of respect for the law.

Additionally, the sessions addressed criminal awareness by highlighting common crimes individuals may encounter, particularly cybercrimes. Attendees received guidance on prevention strategies and learned how to report incidents through the e-Crime platform, empowering them to understand their rights and protect themselves from online threats.

The lectures also highlighted ways to communicate with Dubai Police in various situations, whether through the emergency hotline 999 for urgent cases or 901 for non-emergency inquiries and feedback. Moreover, the sessions featured the Smart Police Station (SPS) services, which enable the community to complete security transactions easily and at any time, without the need to visit traditional police stations.

Ms. Buhajeer thanked all the council's internal and external partners for their ongoing efforts to enhance cooperation among all relevant entities. She also praised their commitment to ensuring that awareness messages about crime, traffic, security, and services effectively reach the community, supporting Dubai Police's strategic goals and contributing to a safer, more connected society.
