The forum was held under the directives of Brigadier Saeed Al Hajri, Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigation, and was attended by Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Abdul Rahman, Director of the Tourist Police Department, his deputy Major Shehab Al Saadi, and representatives of strategic partners and key stakeholders.

Participants included the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, Dubai Municipality, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Dubai Civil Defence, Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, Dubai Holding, alongside representatives from hotels, shopping centres, tourist camps and volunteer teams.

In his remarks, Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Abdul Rahman welcomed attendees and highlighted that the progress achieved in tourist security reflects genuine partnership and constructive integration among all stakeholders. He stressed that tourist security is a shared responsibility, and that coordinated work supports national objectives, enhances the visitor experience, and reinforces Dubai’s image as a safe and stable global destination.

He added that Dubai Police remain committed to developing work tools, investing in competencies, and strengthening coordination in line with future needs, reflecting the government’s vision of making tourist security an exceptional model locally, regionally and internationally.

Attendees also viewed highlights of major initiatives and events organised annually by Dubai Police, including the UAE SWAT Challenge and the World Police Summit, which brings together leading international police leaders, law enforcement agencies and security experts.

On the sidelines, the forum included a panel discussion with partner representatives to review current and future challenges in tourist security. Discussions focused on strengthening field coordination and response, developing communication channels, unifying procedures, and exchanging data and information to raise readiness and ensure a safe and seamless tourism experience, especially during peak visitor seasons.
