Dubai: Dubai Police organised the second event of the ‘Run & Ride with Police’ initiative yesterday, Wednesday, at the Dubai Autodrome circuit in Motor City, as part of its ongoing commitment to enhancing quality of life and promoting healthy lifestyles within the community.

The event was attended by Brigadier Obaid bin Yaarouf, Deputy Director of the General Department of Protective Security and Emergency for Security Affairs; Brigadier Dr. Jassim Mohammed Hassan, Deputy Director of the General Department of Training; Major Adel Mohammed Hassan, Director of Project Development at the Officers' Club; and Ms. Fatima Buhajeer, Chairperson of the Positive Spirit Council, along with a number of officers and officials.

The initiative, which took place in a professional and safe sporting atmosphere, saw remarkable turnout from various segments of society, with over 2,103 participants including amateurs, professionals, and families from various nationalities. Proud of the UAE.

The Positive Spirit Council also organised accompanying activities for the ‘Run & Ride with Police’ initiative, most notably the distribution of UAE flags to participants as part of the ‘Proud of the UAE’ campaign. Attendees also wrote massages of pride and appreciation for the UAE and its wise leadership on a large 'Proud of the UAE' board.

Other accompanying activities included a free painting corner, a display of luxury patrols, police dog (K9) shows, equestrian activities for children, musical band performances, recreational activities, and various awareness lectures targeting children and families. "Khalid" children's magazine, published by the Security Media Department, took part in the event, alongside an entertainment appearance by the Dubai Police mascot ‘Officer Amna’.

It is worth noting that the ‘Run & Ride with Police’ initiative takes place weekly, every Wednesday throughout April, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, within an organised environment that ensures the highest safety standards and provides a comprehensive sports experience suitable for different levels and ages.
