Dubai: Dubai Police, through its “Your Commitment is Happiness” initiative, delivered a sports awareness programme in collaboration with the Dubai Sports Council at Hatta Sports Club, highlighting the responsibilities of fans in line with Federal Law No. 8 of 2014 on the Security of Sports Facilities and Events.

Addressing first team players, coaches, administrative staff, and a Dubai Police liaison officer, First Lieutenant Nabit Sultan Al Ketbi underlined the initiative’s role in strengthening the connection between clubs and their supporters. He noted that fostering positive encouragement in stadiums contributes to creating an enjoyable and respectful environment that reflects the UAE’s civilised image.

Al Ketbi explained that the programme focuses on raising awareness of acceptable fan behaviour and the risks of negative expressions towards others, stressing the importance of adhering to the legal framework governing sports events.
