- May 12, 2026
UAE: Music Nation Copyrights Management (“MusicNation”), the UAE’s premier collective management organization, today announced a strategic partnership with cultural icon Ragheb Alama, under which MusicNation will globally manage the public performance, mechanical and related rights for his musical works, sound recordings and featured performances.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to protecting artistic legacy while strengthening the commercial foundations that enable sustainable careers. Through this agreement, MusicNation will support the licensing, collection and distribution of royalties generated from the use of Alama’s repertoire around the world.
With a career that spans decades and a catalog recognized across multiple generations, Ragheb Alama’s works continue to be heard across public and commercial spaces. A Lebanese singer-songwriter and television personality, Alama rose to prominence in the 1980s after appearing on the talent program Studio El Fan, becoming one of the Arab world’s most recognized pop artists, with an iconic body of work containing numerous commercially successful albums.
Ragheb Alama commented: “For me, music has always been about people, connection, respect, and staying true over time. What I value about the MusicNation team is their passion and determination to bring clarity and transparency to how my catalog will be managed in the UAE and throughout the world, so the music can keep reaching audiences for years to come.”
Khoder Alama, CEO of Backstage Production, Ragheb Alama’s artist management and entertainment company, commented: “Royalties are the backbone of every artist’s career, and getting them right takes the right partner. MusicNation delivers exactly that: clear licensing, accurate reporting, and timely payments across international markets.”
The agreement underscores MusicNation’s commitment to stewarding culturally significant music from the region and ensuring it is safeguarded, professionally managed, and positioned to endure across borders and generations.
Rasha Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairwoman and Founder of MusicNation, commented: “Ragheb Alama is a cornerstone of Arab music, with a legacy that has shaped the region’s sound for decades. As someone rooted in the UAE and regional music community, I understand how important it is that creators have access to MusicNation’s modern and trusted systems to protect their rights and deliver royalties clearly and consistently. This partnership reflects our commitment to the artists who define our sound and our mission to bring the region’s music to global audiences.”
MusicNation’s partnership with Alama builds on strong and growing momentum. Over the past year, the company has secured a series of strategic agreements, each reinforcing its role in shaping a more structured and sustainable music ecosystem. Together, these partnerships accelerate MusicNation’s mission to strengthen the UAE’s music landscape and ensure creators are fairly and consistently compensated.
Through partnerships with Broadcast Music Inc. (BMI), the world’s largest performing rights organization, and SoundExchange, the recording industry’s top digital collective management organization, MusicNation delivers accurate tracking and timely royalty payments, both locally and internationally.
