Dubai: In a new milestone added to its distinguished record of institutional leadership and government excellence, Dubai Police has earned the "Wosool" certification from Dubai Municipality for fulfilling the requirements of the Dubai Universal Design Code in the "Accessible UNI" category. The certification was awarded after the Smart Police Station (SPS) in Al Twar 1, situated at the Dubai Police HQ reception, met all approved specifications and requirements, making it a welcoming and supportive environment for people of determination.

This achievement reflects Dubai Police's commitment to applying international best practices in inclusive design and advancing ease of access for all members of society. It aligns seamlessly with national and local policies and strategies that support the empowerment of people of determination — most notably the directives of the UAE Government and the Emirate of Dubai, and Dubai Police's strategy in this area.

Institutional Culture
His Excellency Major General Expert Mohammed Issa Al Adhab, Director of the General Department of Logistic Support, stressed that this milestone embodies the commitment of Dubai Police to embedding an institutional work system built on innovation, sustainability, and quality of life. "This is achieved by developing fully integrated service environments that address the needs of every segment of society, including people of determination, to the highest global standards," he added.

Al Adhab noted that Dubai Police continues to pursue a proactive approach aligned with the best international practices in developing smart facilities and infrastructure, an effort that boosts service efficiency and elevates customer satisfaction as a core element of the institutional culture at Dubai Police.

Major Abdullah Al Shamsi, Chairman of the People of Determination Empowerment Council at Dubai Police, voiced his pride in this achievement, stating that the "Wosool" certification mirrors a deeply embedded institutional philosophy that places the needs of people of determination at the centre of service design and development. "This is realised through an integrated infrastructure encompassing mobility and navigation aids, safe entrances and exits, adapted elevators, sanitary facilities designed to the highest standards, smart systems, and clear directional signage — all contributing to an improved customer experience and a better quality of life," he continued.

Al Shamsi stated: "This achievement marks an advanced step in the journey towards empowering people of determination and demonstrates Dubai Police's determination to eliminate every obstacle, physical or technical, by providing a flexible, safe service environment where individuals can access services independently, efficiently, and with full dignity," he added.

He underlined that this recognition is the fruit of coordinated efforts across multiple departments and reflects an institutional drive to adopt the highest global standards for accessible environments. "It strengthens Dubai Police's position as a pioneering model in supporting and empowering people of determination, consistent with the directives of the wise leadership, which places this segment at the very heart of the national agenda," he concluded.

Meanwhile, Major Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Vice Chairman of the People of Determination Empowerment Council, explained that accrediting the centre in the "Accessible UNI" category represents a qualitative leap in infrastructure and service development. He noted that the achievement is the outcome of sustained, systematic work to apply comprehensive standards that guarantee barrier-free access for all, ensuring a supportive environment where individuals can use the facilities and services with ease and independence.
