Dubai Police and Dubai Ambulance Conclude \'Driving Vehicles in Rough Terrain\' Course

Dubai: His Excellency Major General Rashid Khalifa Al Falasi, Director of the General Department of Transport and Rescue at Dubai Police, honoured the participants from the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services in the specialised training course on 'Driving Vehicles in Rough Terrain', organised by Dubai Police over a two‑week period.

The event was attended by Mr. Majid Al Zarooni, Director of the Operations Department; Dr. Suhaila Qaid, Director of the Training and Continuing Education Department; and Mr. Abdullah Abdul Latif, Head of the Emergency Ambulance Operations Section at the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services.

The course aimed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary for driving vehicles in rough terrain and challenging environments, and to enhance their ability to handle various field challenges according to the highest safety and efficiency standards. The comprehensive training programme was supervised by First Warrant Officer Tamim Al Houti, a certified instructor, and included practical applications and diverse field scenarios.

Maj. Gen. Al Falasi emphasised that investment in specialised training is a fundamental pillar for enhancing operational readiness and raising the efficiency of field personnel to handle various challenges and exceptional circumstances with competence and professionalism. He noted that rough terrain requires advanced skills and specialised expertise to ensure rapid response and the safety of field teams.

He explained that this course is part of Dubai Police's commitment to exchanging specialised knowledge and expertise with strategic partners, and reinforcing the approach of integrated work between security and service institutions. “This contributes to developing national capabilities and raising the level of coordination and joint readiness to face various emergency scenarios,” he added.

Maj. Gen. Al Falasi praised the level of interaction and commitment shown by the participants from the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, affirming that such quality programmes contribute to building a more prepared and flexible response system, and support joint efforts aimed at protecting lives and maintaining community safety – in line with the Dubai Government's directions for leadership, excellence, and anticipating future requirements.

Meanwhile, Dr. Suhaila Qaid, Director of the Training and Continuing Education Department at the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, commended the fruitful partnership between Dubai Police and Dubai Ambulance, which enables the exchange of expertise and knowledge, and contributes to developing the skills of ambulance personnel and enhancing their readiness to handle various field challenges. She affirmed that the integration of efforts between government institutions in Dubai supports the emirate's shared goal of maintaining the safety of community members and providing distinguished services that ensure their quality of life.

At the end of the course, Major General Al Falasi honoured the participants in appreciation of their efforts and commitment during the training period, wishing them success in applying the skills and expertise they acquired in their humanitarian and national duties.
