Dubai: Dubai Police won 16 awards at the Dubai Quality Group Awards during the group's annual closing ceremony, held recently to honour 146 winners from the UAE and the Gulf countries, representing government and private institutions across eight award categories. These included the Emirates Women Award (21st edition), the Ideas Arabia International Award (18th edition), the Global Continual Improvement Award (14th edition), the UAE Ideas Award (12th edition), the UAE Innovation Award (6th edition), the Global Artificial Intelligence Award (2nd edition), the Global Medical Excellence Award (2nd edition), and the Global Sustainability Award (1st edition).

Emirates Women Award
In the 21st edition of the Emirates Women Award, Engineer Abrar Abdul Hakim Ahmed, Senior Engineer, won in the Young Employee category, while Aisha Hassan Ibrahim Al Hosani, Senior Executive, won in the Community Service category.

Ideas Arabia International Award
In the Ideas Arabia International Award, the ‘Support Families of the Deceased’ initiative won in the Customer Happiness category. The ‘Basmat Shifa’ (Smile of Healing) idea won in the Health and Safety category, while the Dubai Police Innovation Team won in the Best Innovative Team category. In the Innovative Executive category, Colonel Ahmed Hassan Al Hafeeti, Director of the Initiatives and Projects Department, won the Ideas Arabia International Award, as did First Corporal Mohammed Saleh Mohammed Balbaheith, Senior Quality Technician. In the Best Research or Article Supporting Innovation category, the idea "Analysis and Classification of Homemade Explosives Evidence" by Captain Abdulrahman Hussain Al Janahi won the award.

Global Continual Improvement Award
In the Global Continual Improvement Award, the case study ‘Zero Accidents Initiative’ from the General Department of Transport and Rescue won an award. In the Six Sigma category for Services and Factories, the case study ‘Project to Improve the Response Time for Extricating Accident Casualties’ won the award. In the Kaizen and Innovation category, the case study ‘Immersive Virtual Crime Scene Investigation Experience" also won.

UAE Ideas Award
In the UAE Ideas Award, the ‘Naseej’ community initiative from Dubai Police Academy won in the Best Initiative for the Community Year category. In the Encouraging, Sharing, and Empowering Citizens category, the ‘Community Empowerment’ initiative from Dubai Police won the award. In the Marketing the UAE Abroad category, the idea "Marketing the UAE Abroad Through Sports via the Sports Excellence Centre" won the award. In the Smart Government and Digital Transformation category, the "Smart Explosives Escort" project won the award. In the Best Research or Article Supporting Innovation category, Dubai Police won for ‘Enhancing Traffic Accident Response Readiness Through Gaming and Simulation: The Dubai Police Academy Training Model’.
