Dubai Ports Police Station Strengthens Maritime Security Across 13 Coastal Zones

Dubai: Dubai Police’s Ports Police Station continues to strengthen maritime security across one of the Emirate’s busiest operational environments, delivering exceptional results in public safety, customer services, operational readiness and community engagement while protecting Dubai’s coastline and marine infrastructure.
During a visit to the station, His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander in Chief of Dubai Police, reviewed its operational achievements and future development plans as part of the annual inspection programme for general departments and police stations.
The station’s jurisdiction extends along Dubai’s coastline, covering 13 operational areas, including six marine zones and seven coastal sectors, as well as islands and waterways, reflecting its responsibility for safeguarding one of the Emirate’s most active and strategically important areas.
Performance indicators demonstrated consistently high standards, with the station recording 100% in public safety perception, 100% in safety while walking at night, 98.6% employee happiness, and 92.3% customer happiness. During the reporting period, it delivered 112,736 customer services, implemented 205 development proposals, conducted 10 specialised training programmes, and worked with nine strategic partners.
Its public services included issuing 82,706 minor traffic accident reports, 18,495 night work permits, responding to 1,312 enquiries through the Customer Relationship Management system, and issuing 484 To Whom It May Concern certificates, while 99% of all services were completed through smart channels.
Operationally, the station secured 51 marine events and 23 marine races, carried out 11 security campaigns, produced 156 marine safety reports and 53 security reports, responded to 143 maritime incidents, and recorded 313 marine violations, reflecting its high state of readiness in protecting lives, property and maritime facilities.
The station also continues to expand its community outreach through initiatives such as Safe Beaches, which promotes beach safety, helps prevent crime and drowning incidents, and addresses negative behaviour. Awareness campaigns benefited more than 1,800 people, alongside targeted enforcement campaigns covering jet skis, yachts, floating restaurants and compliance with maritime regulations.
Its capabilities were further demonstrated during the New Year 2026 celebrations, when it successfully secured 13 locations and 17 fireworks launch platforms along Dubai’s coastline using 53 marine security and rescue boats, 14 coastal security patrols, six marine rescue patrols, seven partner entities, and additional foot patrols, achieving a 100% success rate.
Lieutenant General Al Marri commended the station’s personnel for their achievements in maritime security, rapid response, service quality and institutional collaboration.
