Dubai: Dubai Police has urged residents and visitors to follow a set of practical safety guidelines to protect their personal belongings while enjoying the emirate’s beaches, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance public awareness and promote a safe summer season.

Through its awareness efforts, Dubai Police advised beachgoers not to leave personal belongings unattended and to keep mobile phones, wallets, jewellery and cash in secure locations. The force also encouraged the public to avoid bringing unnecessary valuables to the beach whenever possible.

Dubai Police further reminded motorists to ensure their vehicles are fully locked, with all windows closed, before leaving them unattended.

The force also called on members of the public to report any suspicious or unlawful behaviour immediately through the ‘Police Eye’ service on its app or by calling 901, while encouraging everyone to follow the safety guidance and enjoy their time at the beach with peace of mind.
