98.6% Sense of Safety Reflects Jebel Ali Police Station’s Strong Performance
- July 26, 2026
Dubai: Serving more than 1.18 million residents across one of Dubai’s largest and fastest growing jurisdictions, Jebel Ali Police Station has recorded strong operational and customer service results, reflecting Dubai Police’s commitment to delivering world class policing services and enhancing quality of life.
The achievements were reviewed by Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander in Chief of Dubai Police, during the annual inspection programme for general departments and police stations.
Accompanied by senior officers, Al Marri reviewed the station’s operational performance, development projects and future initiatives aimed at strengthening policing services, improving operational efficiency and meeting the growing demands of one of Dubai’s most strategically important areas.
Jebel Ali Police Station oversees a jurisdiction spanning approximately 525 square kilometres, covering 12 policing sectors and serving a population exceeding 1.18 million. The area stretches from the Sixth Interchange on Sheikh Zayed Road in the north to Saih Shuaib in the south, from the Fifth Interchange on Emirates Road in the east to the coastline in the west. Around 80 per cent of the area’s residents are workers, reflecting the station’s unique operational environment.
Al Marri also reviewed the station’s development journey, beginning with the opening of Al Nuweibi Police Post in Jebel Ali Free Zone in 1979. It became a full police station in 2000 before relocating to its current headquarters in 2015 to support the area’s rapid urban expansion.
The inspection covered the station’s operational departments, including General Duty, Criminal Registration, Traffic Registration, Customer Happiness and Detention, alongside specialised units that work through an integrated policing system to ensure rapid response and high quality services.
Performance indicators for 2025 demonstrated the station’s strong results across security and customer service. The station recorded a 98.6 per cent public sense of safety, 98.2 per cent for feeling safe while walking at night, 99 per cent public confidence in the nearest police station, 96.7 per cent customer happiness, 98.1 per cent in the Government Mystery Shopper assessment and 95.6 per cent employee happiness.
The station also submitted 83 development proposals, registered 19 intellectual properties, participated in 23 institutional excellence awards, and achieved a zero per cent rate of criminal cases archived due to insufficient evidence, highlighting the quality of its investigative work.
Dubai Police officials also reviewed crime statistics, customer transactions, response mechanisms and initiatives to improve customer experience, increase operational efficiency and enhance the quality of policing services. They highlighted key challenges, including the area’s vast geographical coverage, sustained population growth and rapid urban development, while presenting solutions designed to improve accessibility, reduce waiting times and optimise the use of resources.
Concluding the inspection, Lieutenant General Al Marri commended the professionalism and dedication of the station’s personnel in handling security, criminal and traffic reports, stressing the importance of maintaining operational excellence, strengthening collaboration across departments, developing innovative policing services and expanding partnerships with government and private sector entities to support Dubai Police’s vision of global leadership in policing.
