Dubai Police Innovation Drive Delivers 158 Projects and 32 Awards

Dubai: Dubai Police has highlighted major advances in innovation, digital transformation and customer experience during an inspection of the General Department of Administrative Affairs, showcasing achievements that continue to strengthen institutional excellence and operational efficiency.
Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander in Chief of Dubai Police, led the annual inspection, accompanied by Dr Major General Ahmad Zaal Bin Krishan Almheiri, Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Major General Saleh Murad, Assistant Commander in Chief for Administrative Affairs, Brigadier Mansour Al Qarqawi, Director of the General Department of Administrative Affairs, senior officers and department officials.
Innovation at the Core
The inspection began with a review of innovation projects developed by the Research and Development Centre, which supports Dubai Police’s general departments and police stations through innovative initiatives designed to enhance institutional performance, improve service quality and support future focused policing.
Lieutenant General Al Marri also reviewed Dubai Police’s Innovation Roadmap, highlighting the organisation’s journey in embedding a culture of creativity and transforming ideas into sustainable projects with lasting impact.
Strong Institutional Performance
The General Department of Administrative Affairs reported continued improvements across several strategic performance indicators.
Innovation readiness increased from 93.1 per cent in 2023 to 93.9 per cent in 2025, while digital transactions reached 98.25 per cent, exceeding the target of 97 per cent.
Enhancing Customer Experience
Lieutenant General Al Marri reviewed the achievements of the Customer Happiness Centre, which enhanced 12 services during 2025 under the 360 Services Policy by redesigning customer journeys and simplifying procedures.
The improvements reduced customer effort by 65 per cent, eliminated 100 per cent of service requirements and contributed to higher customer satisfaction compared with the previous year. He also reviewed additional projects aimed at further improving customer experience across all organisational units.
Driving Innovation and Knowledge
The inspection also covered the achievements of the Knowledge, Innovation and Development Department, which implemented 158 innovation initiatives, registered 868 intellectual property assets, and increased intellectual property registrations by 40 per cent.
The department also secured 32 local, regional and international awards, including 18 regional, 12 local, one federal and one international award, reflecting its continued success in embedding a culture of innovation and institutional excellence.
Supporting Employee Wellbeing
Lieutenant General Al Marri reviewed the performance of the Travel Services and Medical Affairs Department, which provided healthcare services to 1,353 employees and 132 retirees, achieving a 99.3 per cent satisfaction rate.
He also received a briefing on the Public Opinion Centre, which conducted 94 surveys, collected 5,608 observations and suggestions, completed 334 mystery shopper field reports, and developed a specialised public opinion strategy supported by artificial intelligence and data analytics to strengthen decision making and better understand stakeholder expectations.
Governance and Readiness
The inspection highlighted the achievements of the Legal Affairs and Institutional Partnerships Department, which recorded 100 per cent legislative compliance according to the Supreme Legislation Committee in Dubai and 100 per cent legal compliance in government litigation, while reviewing 790 contracts and memoranda of understanding to strengthen governance and strategic partnerships.
Lieutenant General Al Marri also reviewed the results of the Rehabilitation and Readiness Enhancement Centre, which delivered 182 awareness activities, achieved an 87.9 per cent utilisation rate for awareness materials and recorded 96.8 per cent satisfaction with physiotherapy services during 2025.

Concluding the inspection, Lieutenant General Al Marri praised the General Department of Administrative Affairs for its outstanding results and advanced performance indicators, commending its personnel for supporting Dubai Police’s institutional development journey, enhancing service quality and reinforcing a culture of innovation and excellence.
He emphasised the importance of maintaining a spirit of teamwork, strengthening integration across general departments and continuing to adopt innovative solutions that improve operational efficiency and institutional readiness, further reinforcing Dubai Police’s position as one of the world’s leading law enforcement organisations in government performance, innovation and service excellence.
