Dubai: Dubai Police General Command has received a delegation from the Ministry of Interior of the sisterly State of Qatar, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen joint cooperation, exchange expertise, and review international best practices and the security services provided through Dubai Police's smart stations.

The delegation was received by Brigadier Tariq Hilal Al Suwaidi, Deputy Director of the General Department of Police Stations for Specialised Stations Affairs, together with a number of officers.

Brigadier Tariq Al Suwaidi welcomed the visiting delegation, headed by Staff Colonel Masoud Jumaan Al Qahtani, Director of the Al Rayyan Security Department. He affirmed the depth of the fraternal ties between the two sisterly nations and the distinguished relations they share across all fields.

During the meeting, Brigadier Al Suwaidi underscored the commitment of Dubai Police to building all bridges of communication and exchanging knowledge, expertise, and leading policing applications in various domains, in line with the directives of the wise leadership. He highlighted that Dubai Police attaches great importance to police stations, the deployment of artificial intelligence, and the creation of flexible operational systems capable of adapting to rapid changes and emerging challenges, thereby enhancing security and stability while keeping pace with international best practices. He added that Dubai Police is equally committed to sharing its pioneering practices and policing experiences with security and police agencies worldwide, reflecting its approach of knowledge openness, expertise transfer, and embedding a proactive work culture, all of which support the institutional development journey and bolster the security system's readiness for future requirements.

Floating Station
Following the meeting, Brigadier Ahmed Abdullah Al Odadi, Deputy Director of the Ports Police Station, accompanied the Qatari delegation on a sea tour to the Smart Floating Police Station at the World Islands — the world's first smart, floating, unmanned police station. The station provides fully automated, round-the-clock security services to seafarers, yacht owners, and island residents without the need for traditional human intervention.

SPS
The delegation also received a briefing from Captain Khalid Barakat on the Smart Police Station (SPS) and the services it offers to all segments of the community in a smart and seamless manner, without human intervention, 24 hours a day and in multiple languages. These include core criminal, traffic, and community services, as well as the ability to submit permit applications easily and conveniently without visiting traditional police stations. The SPS further enables the submission of criminal reports without in-person interaction with staff, and offers direct video communication with investigation officers who speak several languages.

At the conclusion of the visit, the Qatari delegation expressed their deep appreciation for the design and services they observed at the Smart Police Station, which operates around the clock, enhances readiness, and deploys advanced technology. They noted that this further elevates the stature of Dubai and the UAE, which today present the world with pioneering models in policing and the capacity to address future security challenges. Commemorative shields were also exchanged between the two sides.
