New Delhi: Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani has signed a strategic partnership with the Indian Artificial Intelligence Research Organisation (IAIRO) to advance artificial intelligence (AI) research, innovation and talent development in India.

The collaboration aims to combine BITS Pilani's academic excellence with IAIRO's industry-driven research capabilities to develop cutting-edge AI solutions, promote interdisciplinary research, and equip students with industry-relevant skills aligned with India's rapidly expanding AI ecosystem.

The partnership is also expected to support the Government of India's vision of building indigenous AI capabilities and fostering research-led innovation across key sectors.

Under the agreement, BITS Pilani and IAIRO will jointly undertake research projects in emerging areas of artificial intelligence while encouraging greater collaboration among faculty members, scientists, researchers and students.
