Sharjah: Shahed Al Yafaei, Director of the Public Health Department at the Sharjah Health Authority, said that, coinciding with World Organ Donation Day, the authority, in partnership with the National Centre for the Regulation of Human Organ and Tissue Transplantation – Hayat Programme, affiliated with the Ministry of Health and Prevention, organised a dialogue session under the theme: “A life given… hope renewed.”
Al Yafaei told Sharjah 24 that the session aims to raise community awareness of the importance of organ donation and highlight its medical, religious and humanitarian dimensions. It also showcased real-life experiences reflecting the profound human impact of organ donation, its role in saving lives and its ability to give hope to patients.

She stressed that the event reflects the Sharjah Health Authority’s commitment to supporting national health initiatives and strengthening community awareness through cooperation with partners. These efforts contribute to fostering the values of giving and solidarity and building a healthier, more informed community.

She concluded by expressing her thanks and appreciation to the Ministry of Health and Prevention and University Hospital for their continued support.
