Dubai: H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, has recognised government, semi-government and private sector entities for their outstanding support to the Emirati Supplier Programme, managed by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Dubai SME), part of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET).

The recognised entities were among the leading contributors to procurement opportunities provided through the programme, helping Emirati suppliers secure contracts valued at more than AED 1.78 billion in 2025.

The recognition highlights the important role played by government and private sector organisations in creating opportunities for Emirati businesses and strengthening their participation in Dubai’s economy.

The Emirati Supplier Programme aims to support local suppliers and enhance their access to procurement opportunities, enabling them to expand their businesses, build stronger partnerships and contribute more actively to Dubai’s economic development.

The programme also reflects Dubai’s commitment to fostering a supportive business environment for Emirati entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises, while encouraging greater collaboration between the public and private sectors.

The AED 1.78 billion in contracts secured by Emirati suppliers through the programme during 2025 underscores the growing contribution of local businesses to Dubai’s economy and the effectiveness of initiatives designed to connect them with major procurement opportunities.

The recognition of the programme’s leading supporters further reinforces the importance of collaborative efforts in empowering Emirati suppliers and strengthening the local business ecosystem.
