Renowned singer conveys messages of world peace, harmony and human values through Ghazal music

Port Louis, Mauritius: Renowned Ghazal singer and Triple Guinness World Records holder Dr Ghazal Srinivas recently visited the State House of Mauritius (Presidential Palace) at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Mauritius, H.E. Dharambeer Gokhool.

President Gokhool warmly received Dr Ghazal Srinivas along with representatives of the Andhra Saraswatha Parishath in Mauritius. During the meeting, the President enquired about the preparations, objectives and programmes planned for the 5th World Telugu Conference, scheduled to be held in Mauritius in April 2027.

During the visit, President Gokhool introduced Dr Ghazal Srinivas to a group of senior citizens who were visiting the State House and invited him to address them and share his message.

Responding to the President’s request, Dr Ghazal Srinivas addressed the gathering and conveyed messages of world peace, universal brotherhood, harmony, human values and friendship among nations through his Ghazal performances.

Before performing his Telugu Ghazals, he explained the thoughts and messages embedded in the compositions, highlighting their emphasis on peace and human values. His performance and message were warmly received by the audience.

President praises peace and cultural initiatives

Speaking on the occasion, President Dharambeer Gokhool described Dr Ghazal Srinivas as a multi-faceted personality and appreciated his efforts to promote world peace and strengthen goodwill among people and nations.

The President commended his work through Ghazal music, peace missions, cultural initiatives and the propagation of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita.

President Gokhool and the First Lady, Smt. Brinda Gokhool, also appreciated Dr Ghazal Srinivas for his continued efforts towards promoting world peace, cultural harmony and humanitarian values.

Later, at the State House, President Dharambeer Gokhool felicitated Dr Ghazal Srinivas in recognition of his cultural and peace initiatives.

The visit also highlighted the longstanding cultural and people-to-people ties between India and Mauritius, with Telugu language and culture serving as an important link between the two communities.
