Management and entrepreneurship skills also provide healthcare professionals with practical tools to build strong healthcare institutions.”
Professor Sherif Khalifa said: “We will translate this agreement into clear steps within the academic environment, including student exchanges, jointly taught courses involving faculty from both universities, and the introduction of management, economics and pharmacoeconomics into the learning experience of health sciences students. Dr Eesa Al Bastaki said: “This collaboration brings together the University of Dubai’s expertise in economics, management and entrepreneurship with Dubai Medical University’s expertise in medical and health education. It will give students a multidisciplinary learning experience, opportunities to learn from faculty at both universities and exchange knowledge, and practical tools to address healthcare challenges through an integrated scientific and economic perspective.”
The partnership is expected to help prepare healthcare professionals who can manage sector resources efficiently, develop new services and business models, and establish healthcare ventures that create investment and employment opportunities.
