Dubai: Around 305 employees of Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) have benefited from a series of awareness sessions delivered by Dubai Police, covering cybersecurity, road safety, crime prevention and everyday practices that help protect people and their communities.

The initiative was organised by Dubai Police’s Positive Spirit Council in cooperation with Jebel Ali Police Station, under the General Department of Police Stations, and strategic partners as part of ongoing efforts to bring practical safety advice directly to people in their workplaces.

The event was attended by Colonel Salah Ali Abdullah Al Baloushi from Jebel Ali Police Station, alongside representatives of participating organisations and strategic partners.

Helping Employees Stay One Step Ahead of Cybercriminals

With October marking Cybersecurity Awareness Month, the sessions placed particular emphasis on helping employees recognise digital threats and avoid becoming victims of cybercrime.

Participants learned about common online fraud techniques, ways to protect personal information and the importance of adopting safe digital habits.

The discussions also highlighted the risks associated with cyber threats and the practical precautions individuals can take to protect themselves and their data.

Safer Roads, Safer Communities

Beyond cybersecurity, the sessions covered road safety, security awareness and responsible behaviour in everyday situations.

Employees received guidance on complying with laws and regulations, recognising potential risks and following preventive measures that help protect lives and property.

The programme also encouraged participants to take an active role in maintaining the safety of their families, colleagues and wider communities.

Making Dubai Police Services Easier to Access

Dubai Police introduced participants to its range of security, community and smart services, explaining how to access them and communicate with the force through its official channels.

The sessions aimed to make employees more familiar with the support available to them, while encouraging greater use of convenient digital services designed to make interactions with Dubai Police easier and more efficient.

Connecting with the Community Beyond the Workplace

The programme also featured interactive activities that encouraged employees to engage directly with Dubai Police representatives and participating organisations.
