Dubai:Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said that the Museum of the Future is a global monument that represents an Emirati contribution to creating a brighter future for the world.

A global architectural icon, the Museum of the Future stands both for Arab culture and the region’s lofty ambitions. “Though it is a marvel of modern engineering, it speaks in the Arabic language," His Highness said while attending a ceremony held to mark the installation of the final panel on the facade of the Museum of the Future. The ceremony marks the last phase of the construction of the landmark building.

"The Museum of the Future is a global architectural icon that shows that human miracles are possible. It will play an instrumental role in our efforts to shape a better future," Sheikh Mohammed said.

"We are not merely seeking to create architectural wonders, our main focus is on unleashing the highest human potential and creating a better tomorrow. The building is a testament to the remarkable progress achieved by the UAE," His Highness further said.

The Museum of the Future, along with the Emirates Towers, the Dubai International Financial Centre and the Dubai World Trade Centre, represent Dubai’s innovation-driven development that has embraced sustainability, His Highness said. The Museum has already gained global fame even before its opening, due to its one-of-a-kind design, Sheikh Mohammed noted.

Sheikh Mohammed was briefed during the tour by the Dubai Future Foundation team on the building’s design techniques, architectural style and the state-of-the-art construction solutions used to build the cultural landmark.

Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Dubai Future Foundation His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum affirmed that Dubai and the UAE will continue on the path of creativity in various fields powered by the country’s talent and its determination to be a global leader in shaping the future.
