Witness Breathtaking Performances by Talented Global Artists and Acts this DSF

Dubai:Part of the packed calendar of events, entertainment and experiences this Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) is a carefully curated roster of Performing Arts spectacles taking place in malls and leisure destinations across the city. This includes wonderful dance performances, roaming entertainment, live music and spectacular shows right until the end of the festival on 30 January 2021.

 

Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), organisers of DSF, have highlighted some of the key indoor and outdoor entertainment acts families and shoppers will want to look out for.

Ocho the Octopus is making a special appearance at Dubai Festival City Mall from 14 to 16 January with daily shows at 6.10pm, 7.10pm, 8.10pm and 9.10pm. The huge 4-metre tall and 7-metre wide inflatable octopus will roam the mall and entertain visitors with its eight fully articulated legs and digital LED lighting, leaving families, and children especially, in awe.

Percha Balancing Act will dazzle visitors to the Dubai Shopping Festival Market at Al Seef Presented by Al Foah from 7 to 9 January. A unique performance that children and adults alike will love, daily shows will be held at 6pm, 7pm, 8pm and 9pm.

 

Rainbow Wings, a vibrant and elegant dance act will flutter like butterflies through Ibn Battuta Mall creating a magical sight from 7 to 9 January with daily shows at 7.15pm, 7.45pm, 8.15pm and at 8.45pm. Rainbow Wings will also perform at The Pointe from 24 to 26 January with shows at 6.15pm, 6.45pm, 7.15pm and 7.45pm. 

The LED Ballerina Dance Show brings the talent of classically trained ballerinas to this edition of DSF. With a specialist technique in ballet and pointe work, and dressed in their delicate, subtly lit LED costumes, these professional ballerinas will light up people’s evenings at Dubai Shopping Festival Market at Al Seef Presented by Al Foah. These unique ballet performances are sure to be enjoyed by residents and visitors of all ages. Visitors can catch a show from 7 to 9 January with performances at 6.45pm, 8.05pm, 9.15pm and 10pm. The LED Ballerina Dance Show will return to Al Seef from 14 to 16 January with shows at 6.45pm, 8.05pm, 9.15pm and 10pm.

 

LED Aerialist is a completely fresh and unique aerial acrobatics show. Combining visual and immensely flexible tricks, the specialist female aerial acrobat will be performing high up in the air at City Walk as she opens and closes a specially made perspex ball. Shows will take place from 7 to 9 January at 6pm, 7pm, 8pm and 9pm and from 14 to 16 January at 6pm, 7pm, 8pm and 9pm.

Gaudi on Stilts is an amazing stilt walking spectacle inspired by the sculptures of famous Spanish architect and artist Antoni Gaudí. A flock of stilt walkers will roam around Dubai Shopping Festival Market at Al Seef Presented by Al Foah, giving the impression that one of Gaudí’s abstract artworks is coming to life as they interact with visitors and pose for fun selfies. A life-like example of creativity running free, the living art costumes will stand out and delight crowds this DSF. Shows will be held from 7 to 9 January at 4pm, 5pm, 6pm and 7.30pm and from 14 to 16 January at 4.30pm, 6.30pm, 8.30pm and 9.05pm.

Is it a bird, is it a plane? Aerials Umbrellas will appear at City Centre Mirdif from 7 to 9 January at 4pm, 6pm and 8pm. Seemingly floating in the air, the aerial umbrella duo will create the most mind-blowing experience for the young and old to enjoy. At City Centre Deira, the White Couture act will wow crowds with its roaming characters that will bring a touch of elegance to the DSF festivities from 14 to 16 January at 5pm, 6pm, 7pm and 8pm.

 

As a nod to the spectacular winter in Dubai, residents and visitors are invited to dive into a wonderland experience with the Ice Show at Dubai Shopping Festival Market at Al Seef Presented by Al Foah. Watch as an ordinary block of ice undergoes a magical transformation as skilled artists use chainsaws and chisels to unveil a super cool work of art from 14 to 16 January.

 

Leone Murphy, a singer-songwriter from South Africa who has been based in Dubai since the age of 10, will move audiences with her sweet, crystalline voice and heartfelt lyrics this DSF. Influenced by folk, pop and jazz, Leone has been likened to great female songwriters such as Kate Bush, Tori Amos and Adele. She will perform at La Mer from 7 to 9 January at 4pm, 6pm, 8pm and 9pm, from 14 to 16 January at 4pm, 6pm, 8pm and 9pm and from 21 to 23 January at 4pm, 6pm, 8pm and 9pm.
