Dubai:The Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) is once again living up to its much-loved reputation for delivering the very best retail experiences along with amazing prizes. The 26th edition is proudly carrying on the tradition of rewarding lucky residents and visitors who enter the wide range of raffles and giveaways, with even more prizes up for grabs in the coming weeks as DSF starts the new year in winning style.
 
Organised by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), DSF, which ends on 30 January, is hosting the Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group (DGJG) grand raffle with winners each receiving 250g of gold out of a total prize giveaway of 25kg.
 
The DGJG raffle, which runs until the end of DSF, is open to customers who purchase jewellery at any of the 180 participating DGJG outlets across Dubai, including in Deira Gold Souk, Meena Bazaar and shopping malls.
 
Customers who spend AED500 on gold jewellery will receive one raffle coupon, while customers who purchase diamonds, pearls or watches worth AED500 will receive two raffle coupons. Every other day during DSF, four winners will share 1kg of gold equally. On the final day of DSF, 3kgs of gold will be shared equally among 12 winners as part of a mega prize draw.  
 
Among the delighted shoppers who have so far scooped 250g of gold are Emirati Yusuf Ali Al Maadi, Indians Christina A S, Irfan Khan and Ben Samuel and Imelda P Duron from The Philippines,

On finding out he had won his golden prize, Yusuf Ali Al Maadi said: “At first I thought this was a prank. It only started sinking in after we went and received the prize. I never imagined that when I dropped that coupon, I’d win! I have exchanged the gold for money and started a savings account.”
 
A delighted Christina A S said: “Hands down, this was the best news of 2020. It was such a relief to win this amazing prize at the end of an unpredictable year. I entered the raffle with my family and am so happy I was the one to win!”
 
Irfan Khan said: “This is the first time in my life I have ever won something. Dubai is a very generous city that has always been hosting raffles and competitions, and after being here for three years I was in shock when I won and overwhelmed with gratitude.”
 
Ben Samuel said: “My father always taught me to give more than you get, and to be optimistic. I was driving to work early in the morning when I got the call that I won. It was such a happy end to the year that I couldn’t believe my luck. I have spent almost half the money giving back to friends and family who lost their jobs because of the Covid-19 crisis, and I bought so many things for people in need.”
 
Imelda P Duron said: “I live here alone, and the second I knew I had won I wanted to share it with all my family in the Philippines. It’s such a great gift from the Dubai Shopping Festival to end the year on a positive note. Times have been very challenging for everyone and this made me feel that 2021 is my year!”
 
Other great chances to win include the highest value raffle in the festival’s history, the DSF Supercar Raffle, with a AED6 million W Motors Fenyr SuperSport  car to be given away to one lucky winner. Shoppers who buy a special scale model of the Fenyr SuperSport for AED1,500 will receive a raffle coupon. The scale model cars and raffle coupon are available to buy online at www.idealz.com and www.mydsf.ae until 30 March 2021. The raffle winner will be presented with a customised version of a Fenyr SuperSport made by W Motors. 
 
The INFINITI Mega Raffle is giving away a total of 45 INFINITI QX60 cars during DSF, with daily draws taking place at Global Village. Raffle tickets priced at AED200 can be purchased at selected ENOC and EPCO petrol stations, Zoom stores and Dubai Metro stations, while shoppers who spend AED200 at The Gold Souk and Global Village plus participating shopping malls will enter a raffle to win an INFINITI QX60 car and AED200,000 each day. One person will also win AED500,000 on the final day of DSF.
 
The Nissan Grand Raffle will see 45 brand-new Nissan vehicles given away along with cash prizes of AED10,000 per week. Shoppers need to spend AED25 on non-fuel items at any EPCO or ENOC petrol station in Dubai to win during DSF. The Nissan Grand Raffle features two Nissan Patrols, one Nissan Pathfinder, eight Nissan X-TRAIL crossover SUVs, 10 Nissan Kicks vehicles, 12 Nissan Micra compacts and 12 Nissan Sentra sedans. Winners will be announced at the daily raffle draws.
 
Also during DSF, the Dubai Shopping Malls Group (DSMG) is hosting a Spin & Win raffle to win cash prizes of up to AED100,000 each week. With every spend of AED150, AED200 and AED300, customers will be entitled to red, blue or yellow vouchers respectively. Shoppers with red vouchers can win a total of AED250,000, whereas blue voucher holders can win a total of AED350,000 and yellow voucher holders AED400,000. Twenty-four lucky winners will be selected from a raffle draw to spin the wheel for a chance to win prizes ranging from AED2,000 to AED20,000. Shoppers at their nearest neighbourhood mall will have the chance to win cash prizes during weekly Spin & Win events held on 11, 18, 25 and 30 January.
