Dubai:‘THAT’ Concept Store – owned and operated by Majid Al Futtaim, the leading shopping mall, communities, retail, and leisure pioneer across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia – is launching a search for the next generation of DJ talent.

In line with the multi-brand, homegrown store’s unique philosophy of opportunity and self-expression, the competition seeks to celebrate and inspire the future creators of electronic music. Held on March 6 and 13, local DJs, amateurs and hopefuls will be invited in-store to showcase their talent in a one-minute set, with the winner receiving a gift card worth AED 1,000. No matter your level of expertise, slots are available between 5-7pm and no pre-registration is required.

The competition is being run in collaboration with Basil Al Hadi, one of Dubai’s most sought-after DJs who produces music under the name Karrouhat. His fusion of different styles makes him the perfect judge for THAT Concept Store’s competition, and shoppers and fans alike will be able to meet him in-store as he decides the winning performer over the two weekends in March.
