Dubai: In celebration of the International Day of Happiness, the Dubai Police Happiness & Positivity Council, in cooperation with the National Program for Happiness and Wellbeing, has recently organized community initiatives and various activities for Dubai Police employees and the public.  

Awatif Al Suwaidi, CEO of the Happiness & Positivity Council at Dubai Police, said Dubai Police, who scored %96.6 on the Employee Happiness Index for the year 2021, always seeks the satisfaction of its employees and provides them with an exemplary environment that stimulates creativity and innovation and contributes to raising their level of satisfaction. She noted that their celebration of the International Day of Happiness comes within the framework of achieving the government's goals in making Dubai the happiest city in the world and is in line with the Dubai Police's strategic objective of ensuring community happiness.

Al Suwaidi explained that the Council’s happiness activities included the "Wheel of Happiness" and "Thank You" initiative, as well as a field trip to honour volunteers of public departments and police stations. In addition, the Council also organised a surprise visit to Dubai Police employees working at the Expo 2020 to give them gifts and ensure their happiness. 

Lieutenant-Colonel Dr Muhammad Al Hajj, Vice-Chairman of the Happiness & Positivity Council, stressed that the Council is very keen to enhance the concept of happiness and positivity among Dubai Police employees and members of the public. He noted that a happy and positive work environment is one of the leading indicators of an organization’s success as it energies employees and inspires them to face challenges with creative and innovative ideas and pushes them to excel and achieve self-realization and ambitions.
