Dubai: His Excellency Lieutenant-General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, has recently honoured dedicated teams of Expo 2020 Dubai for their fruitful efforts throughout the global event.

Lt. Gen. Al Marri praised the efforts of the work teams at Expo 2020 Dubai, who showed extreme dedication from the first moment of the UAE's winning of hosting this global event with all seriousness, sincerity and cooperation, and working in a team spirit to achieve the aspirations of our wise leadership.

Lt. Gen. Al Marri extended his thanks and gratitude to the honourees, including the Volunteers Department, the Private Security Department, Wasl Team, the Mobility Team, the Sustainability Team, the Opportunities Team, the Jubilee Team, the Knights Team, the Search and Screening Team, and Control Rooms Team, and the Technical Team.  

Lt. Gen. Al Marri said the exceptional efforts made by these teams have contributed to enhancing the security and safety of Expo 2020 and ensured the happiness of its visitors. He added that the teams' high professionalism reflected the reputation of the UAE and its ability to welcome millions of visitors and host global events successfully.

The honouring ceremony took place at the Dubai Police Officers' Club in the presence of Expert Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Investigation Affairs, Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Director of the General Department of Protective Security and Emergency, Brigadier Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Director of the General Department of Traffic Police, Rashid Al Hashemi, Executive Vice President of Operations at Expo 2020 Dubai, Abeer Jassem Al Hosani, Director of the Volunteer Program Department at Expo 2020 Dubai, Saeed Al Shaksy, Senior Director of the Volunteer Program, and a number of senior officers, security sector coordinators, and Expo 2020 officials.
