WAM hosts Global Media Congress' Ambassadorial Forum

Abu Dhabi: The Higher Organising Committee of the Global Media Congress (GMC) organised the Global Media Congress' Ambassadorial Forum in the presence of social media influencers and content creators, at the Emirates News Agency’s (WAM) HQ in Abu Dhabi.
The forum aimed to discuss the contributions of digital and social media platforms to the global event which will be organised under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court by the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC), in partnership with WAM, on November 15-17, 2022 to provide opportunities for various media institutions to discuss partnerships and collaborative ventures that will bolster the development of the media sector.
The forum was attended by Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi, WAM Director General and Chairman of the GMC’s Higher Organising Committee; Khalifa Al Qubaisi, Chief Commercial Officer, ADNEC; and a number of media professionals.
Addressing the forum, Al Rayssi said that the directives and support of the UAE wise leadership constitute a roadmap to ensure excellence across various fields, especially the media sector, which plays a strategic role in conveying the UAE's civilisational, developmental and humanitarian message to the world.
Al Rayssi reviewed the main activities to be hosted by the international event which will bring together 150 exhibitors from 25 countries, in addition to 170 speakers from 18 countries, and 27 specialised workshops.
Al Rayssi added that the congress is the first of its kind in the Middle East, with its sessions to focus on the media industry, digital communication, artificial intelligence, advanced technologies and innovation. The event will also present sessions on radio and TV, online publications, as well as social media influencers on a global scale. In addition to that, there will be a specialised exhibition with the participation of major international companies.
Al Rayssi pointed out that GMC will host a series of interactive workshops for students of various media faculties, specialists, and content creators with the objective of unleashing potential, honing skills and developing capabilities, while using the latest cognitive methods and training tools that will be provided by a select of international experts.
For his part, Khalifa Al Qubaisi said that the GMC constitutes an international platform for media leaders, professionals, social media influencers and content makers to chart the future of the media sector and anticipate global trends in this strategic field.
He highlighted that ADNEC Group recently launched its new corporate identity, which will help strengthen the position of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi as the capital of business sector in the region and which is in line with the vision of the wise leadership for the next fifty years, adding that ADNEC team, in coordination with WAM and a number of local and international organisations, are working closely to make the event a success.
Al Qubaisi thanked all attendees of the Ambassadorial Forum, stressing their significant role in making the event a success and conveying its message to the rest of the world.
