Al Marri visits Dubai Police Platform in GITEX Global 2022

Dubai: His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of the Dubai Police, visited today, Thursday, the Dubai Police's stand at GITEX Global 2022, in the presence of His Excellency Major General Ahmed Mohamed Rafie, Assistant Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police for Administration Affairs, and His Excellency Major General Khalid Nasser Al Razooqi, Director of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence at Dubai Police. 

H.E Lt. Gen. Al Marri reaffirmed the keenness of the Dubai Police General Command to participate in the 42nd edition of the GITEX Global 2022, the largest tech show in the world that addressed "Communications and Technologies for the Stage of Full Recovery from the Covid-19 Crisis" this year. "The exhibition is a global destination for most advanced companies and all those concerned with the latest advanced and digital technology in the world," he continued.

Al Marri indicated that the exhibition is also ideal for various government departments to showcase their latest innovations in smart services and advanced artificial intelligence techniques. "These smart services and techniques fulfill the ambitions of our wise leadership and support ongoing efforts to place the UAE among the most advanced countries in the field of advanced technologies and smart techniques," he added.

Dubai Police Platform

HE Lt. Gen. Al Marri toured the Dubai Police platform that features the latest innovations and advanced artificial intelligence technologies, which cope with the Dubai Police's strategic objectives to enhance security and safety and instill happiness among community members.

The Commander-in-Chief listened to a brief explanation on the Smart "Ghiath" Patrol, one of the world's most advanced security vehicles, equipped with smart devices Artificial Intelligence (AI), and the latest technological systems. He also reviewed the Drone Box, which is an unmanned aerial system designed to help police improve its operational effectiveness and reduce emergency response rates and detect crimes and incidents.

He also was briefed on the new version of the Dubai Police's smart application, which includes a premium bunch of 70 developed services using the latest programming languages, techniques, and artificial intelligence. The new update includes features such as Smart Volunteerism,  and Crash Detection, which send out a distress signal (SOS) in case of a severe traffic accident without human intervention. The smart app also includes new characteristics to protect women and children and support visually-impaired People.

Athar Platform
Al Marri reviewed the services provided by the "Athar Platform", which aims to ensure the documentation of all procedures of the General Department of Forensic Science and Criminology through a "digital system." The platform reduces the time for completing transactions and facilitates access to information by unifying smart systems and linking them with other criminal systems. 

Emirates Parkings 
The Commander-in-Chief was briefed on the services provided by the Emirates Parkings Company, which establishes a distinguished partnership with the Dubai Police General, and reviewed its fleet of vehicles utilized to provide roadside assistance during crises

 
'Capture the Flag' Challenge

Al Marri reviewed that 'Capture the Flag' challenge that aims to draw the attention of the young generation to vital fields such as; science, technology, innovation, information technology, and other disciplines that help shape the future and keep them abreast of developments and global acceleration in the field of science and electronics knowledge, and artificial intelligence.
