Dubai: H.E. Mattar Al-Tayer, the Deputy Chairman of Dubai Sports Council (DSC), received the delegation of Shabab Al-Ahli Club, the champion of ADNOC Pro League 2022 – 2023, comprised representatives from the Club’s Board of Directors & some of the team’s prominent players. 

H.E. Mattar Al-Tayer congratulated Shabab Al-Ahli Club for winning of this title; the 8th in the Club’s history since the launch of the UAE Football League competition, and the 4th since the implementation of the Pro League in the State. He confirmed that this achievement reflects the wise leadership & proper directives of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai & Chairman of the Executive Council / H.H. Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, the Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Finance & First Deputy Ruler of Dubai / H.H. Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, the Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Board Chairman of the Club / H.H. Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, the Chairman of DSC. He explained that it is according to Their Highnesses’ proper directives & wise leadership, Shabab Al-Ahli Club has attained excellence & gained titles. 

He also referred to the hard efforts exerted by H.E. Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman, the Board Member of the Club, to implement these directives, besides his eminent role toward the ideal nomination of technical & administrative staff and players. 

H.E. Al-Tayer praised the teamwork & the successful system of work, followed by the Club’s respective bodies to present one of the best seasons in terms of the technical performance & the tough competitions among participating teams. He said that technical success in the stadium depends mainly on the administrative success, distinctive management, nomination of the best players and smooth dealing with the various challenges throughout the season.  

The meeting was held in the presence of H.E. Saeed Hareb, the Secretary General of DSC, and H.E. Naser Aman Al-Rahma, Assistant Secretary General of DSC, besides Shabab Al-Ahli’s delegation members; these were: H.E. Major General Tilal Ahmed Al-Shinqiti, Dr. Khalid Al-Zahid, Mr. Majid Sultan, Mr. Mohammed Hamdoun & Mr. Ahmed Shah.

H.E. Mattar Al-Tayer talked to the Club’s administrators & players on the most eminent stages during the competition,  particularly after the confirmation of the winning of the title, following the Team’s victory vs. Baniyas counterpart 2 – 1 in the 25th round of the competition, and consequently the launch of the celebrations besides pasting of the Club’s logo on the façade of Burj Khalifa, Dubai Festival City, Burj Al-Arab, Dubai Frame, the smart signboards of all roads in Dubai and other several landmarks in Emirate.   

In conclusion of the meeting, H.E. Al-Tayer, accompanied by the Club’s administrators & players, cut a large cake, holding the Club’s logo and captured memorial photo with the Club’s delegation & the Golden Trophy of the League.
